A very clever adventure. Uses many of the mechanisms that Steve Jackson first implemented, some good writing in here too. The adventure is quite well balanced throughout, a hero with Skill 9+ is recommended for this adventure due to the various Skill Tests & the final guard you face before you encounter the sorcerer.
- Take Sword, Bow & Quiver (6 Arrows) & Signet Ring.
- Take 15 Gold Pieces & 5 Herbs.
- Lose Signet Ring.
- Dodge out of his way & run.
- 2D6(You) vs 2D6(Morn) Test.
o If fail:
o Fight Sk 7 St 8 Morn Preeler for one round (do not deduct stamina).
• If you win:
o leap away from him, then run.
o Repeat the 2D6 vs 2D6 Test (as above).
• If you lose:
o Fight Sk 7 Morn Preeler for one round (do not deduct stamina).
o If you win or draw:
• Repeat the Fight Sk 7 St 8 Morn Preeler for one round step (as above).
o If you lose:
• You will miss out on vital quest items i.e. start over

o Take 5 Gold Pieces.

- Agree to buy some of the potions.
- Take Mystery Potion X.
o Add note: Para 96 when you decide to use it.
- Take Potion of Strength & Vial of Sleeping Draught (-14 Gold Pieces).
- Take your boat & sail up the river.
- Try to manoeuvre around it.
- Settle straight down to sleep.
o Add note: ‘178’ in a circle.
- Leap up & charge at it (+1 Luck).
- Turn to Para 178.
- Tick off one day (+1 Stamina).
- Reach back into the water to remove the plant by hand (4 Damage).
- Wait to see what it does (+1 Luck).
- Lay your sword in the bottom of the boat & sail towards him.
- Take Leather Bundle.
o Add note: Para 278 when you decide to take a look at it.
- Look at the bundle right now. Turn to Para 278.
- Puzzle:
o 6 squares form a cube.
o You need to rotate some pieces to make them fit.
o Stars are the top & bottom.
