...Wow.I am impressed.Right on the first try!How do you do that weird solving technique?Anyway, congratulations on solving the puzzle! Now,all is revealed... Thanks and welcome again. Not really a technique - just my oddball way of laying out what you'd said. (I was trying to make you 'dragon ...something' for a while. ) You're here in time for me to attribute a couple of salvaged posts to you... It's your go in the Treasure Hunt thread. EDIT: ...but I see you've spotted that.

Many (but not all) pages are still preserved in the Google cache. If there is something in the cache, there'll be a little drop-down arrow at the end of the second line of the listing for the page - click on that and select 'Cached' and it'll take you to a snapshot of the page.

Thanks for the explanation, though I didn't understand a word you said.Never mind,I'll leave it to mudworm to salvage the threads. It's more obvious if you actually do a Google search for something (anything). You'll notice that most or all of the results have a little green triangle in them, which you click on to give you the menu Greenspine mentioned. Basically, Google knows where to find things because it memorises a bunch of stuff about all the webpages it looks at. Often it makes what it knows available so there's a sort of scrappy version of the page from whenever Google last looked at it. Sadly Google rarely memorised the whole of the TUFFF threads. For most threads if it remembered them at all it just did page one. Some of those which were cached have now been deleted. Also sometimes it wasn't a very up to date version - so the opening post of your vehicle parodies thread was cached but none of the rest of it was (I might PM it to you). I've grabbed everything at all interesting as long as I noticed it but a lot has just gone.

I was walking past a 'Scottish shop' (selling kilts and what not) in Edinburgh the other day, and they were playing, wait for it, a bagpipe version of Queen 'It's a Kind of Magic'. I almost vomited there and then. But then, would you believe it, I thought of Doigy and wondered where he had got to. And then, a couple of days later, you turn up on this forum! Magic indeed, guid tae hae ye back.

Hello. I'm new here. I signed up because I just finished Bloodbones, and not seeing one anywhere in the 'net, I thought I'd contribute with a solution. May I post it in the solutions' section? Should I number it 61), as it would have been the 61st in the old Puffin numeration? Thank you in advance and best wishes for the new year!

So... thank you for the welcome and I'll post it as #60. If you think it's not well done or something isn't appropriate, please let me know and I'll remove it.

If numbering were to continue from the end of the Puffin series...
60 Eye of the Dragon 61 Bloodbones 62 Howl of the Werewolf 63 Stormslayer 64 Night of the Necromancer 65 Blood of the Zombies

Alex, I don't mean to contradict you, as I'm sure you most definitely know more than I do, but... several sources hint at Bloodbones being 60... see the link above, but also user.tninet.se/~wcw454p/docs/ffw26.txtIt appears it was designed to be number 60 back before the Puffin series was cancelled... or so I read online...

I understand that. I assigned those numbers based on publication order. Eye was published in 2005 and Bloodbones in 2006.
Yes, Bloodbones was meant to be #60, but then Night of the Creature was meant to be #61. Really, publication order is the only way to do this due to the mish-mash of titles.
Eye was published as a non-FF short adventure in 1982. Bloodbones was written as a 300 reference adventure in 1995 but revised and published as a 400 reference story in 2006 (complete with different interior art).

I acquired the entire series from a friend a couple of years ago, and have been reliving my youth (and multiple deaths) as I play through them. I only ever lurked at TUFFF, but it was a recent succession of inhumane slaughters at the hands of a Fahbad Redneck that sent me hunting for confirmation that Sky Lord is in fact an intense form of sadomasochism. Noticed the unoffical FF forum was disapparated, and found you all here. Hi. I look forward to posting my 'solutions'.
Great Lord of the Dark
