Solving Magehunter was fun. The book is designed exceptionally well – I don’t think I have come across a Fighting Fantasy adventure this complex and bug free. The story is very short due to so many paragraphs dedicated to each possible outcome of each scene; still, a very novel idea that makes you think throughout & keeps you interested. You can complete your adventure in many ways, but of course there is really only one true path, and it requires a little bit of luck to achieve it.
I recommend a Skill of 7-10, a Stamina score of 12-18 & a Luck score of 10+ for this adventure. The difficulty curve is almost the inverse of normal FF adventures; that is, the lower your starting Skill & Stamina scores, the better (with the exception of Luck).
