As I said in my presentation, I'm working with the French association Scriptarium to bring Advanced Fighting Fantasy to the French-speaking world. Oddly enough, it was one of the very few FF-related products which were not translated back in the 80s, but it's never too late to mend old errors! The translation of the corebook was published last year, after a successful subscription on Ulule, and it was very well-received by old-time fans as well as newcomers to the FF world. Maybe some of you already know that there is another subscription going on right now to finance the publication of a French translation of Titan: The Fighting Fantasy World. We have managed to raise enough money to ensure its publication, but if we could raise even more, the final product could be even more awesome, with poster maps and other exciting stuff. Now you may be thinking "I don't speak French, so why should I care?" Well, there are rewards which should be of interest to any FF fan: original illustrations from Bill Houston, Steve Luxton, or even Russ Nicholson himself! You can read more about the subscription on Ulule: www.ulule.com/titan-defis/.

i'm not sure i understand. why is something like this not ALSO available in English? i'd love a set of Titan maps in colour as well as the huge set of magic cards, and normally i would b very interested in the project, and it's great support to keep FF going. but since most of my money will be used to buy the main book itself (it looks better than the copy i already have), i'd have to fork out a huge amount just for the extras? and the map isn't even in English. am i missing something or is this intentionally unfair to everyone else?

am i missing something or is this intentionally unfair to everyone else? I imagine part of it will have to do with the rights. Scriptarium have the rights to do AFF in French, but the English-language rights are with Arion Games.

Yes, as it is, I think the license would be the main problem. Also, bear in mind that Scriptarium is a small structure, and we do not always have enough money to do all the things we would like to do. Still, having the cards and the maps in English would certainly be interesting; that's something we may discuss with Arion Games.

We have just passed the €9000 bar! This means the book will come with brand new illustrations, which is cool. The subscription goes on till the end of the month, so it's not too late to participate if you want to get a personalised drawing by Bill Houston, Steve Luxton or Russ Nicholson.

Pretty sure George's post just above is a spammy non-FF related ad. Moderator take it down pls? I don't know much about these things but I have reported the post [and some others dotted about the forum] by going into the cog icon at the top right of the post (do you see it?). You get a dropdown menu, i reported it, said it was spam in the freeflow comments section. Have a go reporting it yourself if you like.

Yes, reporting posts is more effective than just complaining in the thread.
