What about items worth X gold pieces? Like the eye of the cyclops or the earrings?

After rolling some great starting attributes for each adventure, I was able to pull out a perfect 4 wins from 4 attempts.
The Warlock of Firetop Mountain 4/7/5 = 2 points Mission: Success Bonus: 46gp, Cyclops Eye worth 50gp, Warlockâs treasure worth over 1000gp. Kills: 13 Points: 25
Demons of the Deep 4/10/1 = 2 points Mission: Success Bonus: 2gp, an entire pirate ship full of riches & plunder. Kills: 8 Points: 20
Forest of Doom 4/7/5 = 2 points Mission: Success Bonus: 47gp, dozens of jewels & gems, winged helmet worth hundreds of gp. Kills: 8 Points: 20
Midnight Rogue 5/9/6 = 1 point Mission: Success Bonus: 32gp, bottle of brandy worth 1 gp Kills: 8 Points: 19
Which makes for a total of 84 points before bonuses are awarded.

While the final scores for the May challenge remain unclear until there's a ruling on non-specific quantities of gold, I think I get the higher score either way. There's no way of knowing how long it'll be before a decision is made, so in order to allow a decent amount of time for this month's challenge, I'm dusting off the one that was rejected in favour of the joke one back in April. In at the Deep End You're only on section 1, and you're already in some kind of trouble. Starship TravellerDice: 4 (crew and ship are not counted, and you might as well only roll up any that are actually needed) Mission: Reach paragraph 340 Bonus: Defeat the Manslayer Robot Siege of SardathDice: 4 Mission: Reach paragraph 400 Bonus: Kill Morn Preeler's duplicate Island of the UndeadDice: 5 Mission: Reach paragraph 400 Bonus: Net the Squirting Octopus SpellbreakerDice: 4 Mission: Reach Paragraph 400 Bonus: Win a game of Eclipse

Since no one else actually posted any results, I believe you would win with a total of 100 points.

Starship Traveller Dice: Sk 11 St 20 L 11 = 1 point Kills: 1 Bonus: Died trying for it (stupid incompetent Skill 7 & 8 Security Officers). Mission: See above. Total: 2
Siege of Sardath Dice: Sk 8 St 20 L 11 = 2 points Kills: 1 Bonus: It was the only kill I achieved. Mission: Got trapped in another dimension by the Mirror Demon. Total: 8
Island of the Undead Dice: Sk 7 St 22 L 9 P 5 = 4 points Kills: 0 Bonus: Didn't last long enough. Mission: The Sea Zombie got me. Total: 4
Spellbreaker Dice: Sk 8 St 22 L 8 = 2 points Kills: 4 Bonus: Lost 9-1. Mission: Killed by wolves. Total: 6
Grand total: 20
A pretty poor showing.

Well, the rules don't cover what happens if the only person to participate in a challenge is the person who set it.
Three options suggest themselves.
1) Leave the June challenge open for another month to give others another shot at it. 2) I post a new challenge for July and hope it's more popular than the June one. 3) Stop doing the challenges owing to lack of interest.
2 is my preferred option (and I have an idea for a challenge in which every featured book has been issued by Wizard (most of them twice over), so lack of availability of copies should be less of an issue), but what do others say?

Doesn't seem like anyone's interested anymore.
I'm also out. I don't have time to even read the Sorcery! books right now (considering I've done the original series solutions, I think I've earned it). I should be able to get back into gamebooks in August. I have until then to hopefully get my life back together.
See you all soon!
