How would you make some proverbs and clichés more useful to those about to embark on a FF quest? How about... -If you can't stand the goat-heads, stay out of the kitchen. -There are only two certainties in life: death and a mid-dungeon equipment shop. -A sword in the hand is worth two in the book. -The dryad doesn't fall far from the tree. If you're having trouble remembering sayings, skimming your eyes over a list like this may help – although I'm, um, not totally convinced that all those sayings originated in the USA.

Good idea!
Too many third assistant rabbit-skinners spoil the broth
Back to section 1
Like a manticore in a china shop
Balthus calling Zharradan evil
Umm...A mirror a day keeps Horfak away?

Haha,some good ones there.
If at first you don't succeed, try and try again...unless you're playing Crypt of the Sorcerer in which case you're probably wasting your time.
When you're on a boat, something bad is bound to happen.
Its bark is worse than its bite...because it's a Willow Weird.

Look (at your stats) before you leap. A rolling stone flattens some adventurers. Don't judge a Wizard Books reissue by its cover. A friend in need is liable to die before the adventure's over.

There's more than one assistant to skin a rabbit. If at first you don't succeed, roll up a fresh character. OR If at first you don't succeed, that's normal for playing an Ian Livingstone adventure. Faint heart never won House of Hell. What doesn't kill you makes you use up Provisions.
