I'm making a list of named artifacts and special equipment that can be used in or out of combat and need help with some of them since I can't remember everything. If anyone can think of any of the following items (including the non-gamebooks), please post them. Thanks. In brackets are the ones i have so far:
Knives (Needle-Knife, Kris Knife) Wands (Wand of Cold) Rods (Rod of Paralysis, Silver Rod of Incandescent Doom, Rod of Thunder) Maces (Havgar's Mace, Black Spiked Mace) Axes (Axe of Lothar, Runic Axe, Hewing Axe, Glandragor's Axe) Arrows (Ice Arrows, Cursed Arrows, Tsunewara's Arrow) Bows (Hunting Bow, Giver of Sleep) Crossbows (Crossbow of Axillon, Crossbow of Shamar)

So anything of those types with a particular name or description?
Would Swiftstinger from DotD count?

yes.
i've since also found the Hot Knives of the Death Head in RtFTM, the Shadow Warriors' weapons, the Wand of the Hawk in LoZ. more is needed.
i'm not too familiar with the FF non-gamebooks such as the novels, AFF, and Warlock Magazine so there maybe more in those too.

I don't know much about the non-gamebooks either. I've got Dungeoneer knocking around, but it's not really item-heavy. There is a magic sword you can pick up but nothing from your categories that I can remember. Have you tried searching for the terms in Titannica? For example, a search for 'wand' throws up a mention of an iron wand (which proves to be a named sceptre) in the entry on Akharis from CotM and a reference to a Radiation Neutralization Wand in AwF. A search of the solutions section within this forum brings up an Ebon wand from HotW.

How did you get on with this in the end, Sylas?
I'm still not totally sure what counts – you mention eg black spiked mace above, so is a described item good enough, or only a named one? You need a silver arrow in CoT of course. In TCT you can pick up a monk's knife or staff. In KotLL a mace is handy if you encounter the Skull Beast, but I can't remember if it gets much of a description.

thanks for asking. just a few items here and there that i wasn't too happy with. i was looking for a wider variation of items and effects. weapons turned out to be the hardest but i have enough for now. cheers all.
