Yeah I have been using this to find books I might have missed otherwise such as Rise of the Shadow King, Heroes of Urowen, Malice From the Middle Vale, Labyrinth: The Lich Lord's Lair, Interstellar Terra, Sword of the Bastard Elf. Has anyone played through Interstellar Terra or Sword of the Bastard Elf yet? Those two books are huge!!! I already knew about The Demon Sorcerer or I probably would have found out about it here also. Im always excited to see a book where they say its available in paperback form as opposed to just an app. Like a lot of posters here I assume prefer a physical book to play. Im on a screen all day so its great to get away from that and actually have physical elements like the book, dice, pen and paper. Unfortunately in general though that doesnt seem to be the way things are going (but I hope Im wrong).
We seem to be in a renaissance of the gamebook over the last 6-7 years as I am finding quite a few new ones over the 2012-2019 timeframe. When putting together my list of gamebooks I was hoping to play through I couldnt help but notice a huge gap between the years 1998-2005 (and even between 2005-2010 there isnt much, only appears to be the sporadic FF released). Is anyone aware of any good gamebooks released between The Hunger of Sejanoz in 1998 to Eye of the Dragon in 2005? I havent found any but its hard to believe there were none released over this time.
