Time for another FF puzzle! What books are these art strips from?

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it might be the new name of the upcoming book as FF attempted to allay any concerns about it being too childish.

1 is from House of Hell. 2 is from Warlock of Firetop Mountain. 7 is from Scorpion Swamp.
Don't know about the others - there are still too many books I'm not familiar with.

My old eyes can't cope with this, I'm going to have to admit defeat before this gives me some sort of the disease.

Good quiz! From memory... 1.Goat-headed cultist at the front door House of Hell
2.Old prisoner in Warlock of Firetop Mountain
3.I think this is from Island of the Lizard King? Cannot place the exact picture though, but it looks like one of Alan Langford's drawings.
4.Slime eater down in the sewers in Khare Cityport of Traps
5. Bloodbones at his ritual? Bloodbones
6.Chaos Champion Trial of Champions
7.Master of Spiders sat in his throne Scorpion Swamp
8.This one’s got me beaten, it really has. That thing at the bottom right looks like it might be a casket, a coffin. So as a guess and because I am not so familiar with the book or the art.... Revenge of the Vampire

Number 8 , really well done - you got it. I initially thought it was an Iain McCaig picture but then argued myself out of it and made a silly guess. My reasoning was right though - it IS a vampire encounter - the one in Zanbar Bones' tower para 292.

1. 2 Fear points behind the front door in House of Hell.
2. Locked-up old man in The Warlock of Firetop Mountain.
3. Possibly Relem from Tower of Destruction.
4. Slime Eater from Kharé - Cityport of Traps.
5. I'm getting a Bloodbones vibe here, but don't know the adventure well enough to be able to pin it down.
6. Spiky enough to be the Chaos Champion from Trial of Champions.
7. The Master of Spiders, Scorpion Swamp.
8. The artwork looks a bit Iain McCaig-y. City of Thieves?

Knew it wasn't Deathtrap Dungeon, so that only left one other. Thought it was either the Lizardine or the skullcap guy with the pills, but when I checked the book after posting, it turned out to be neither!

Test your Sight! Here comes another art puzzle from Cona Numdrum. Can you identify all the Fighting Fantasy books these snippets are from? Do not read the comments if you don't want to spoil it for yourself or otherwise cheat.

2 is Temple of Terror. 3 might be Daggers of Darkness?? 4 is Creature Of Havoc. 5 looks like Talisman Of Death, but at second glance I think it might actually be from Seas Of Blood? 6 is certainly Russ Nicholson's work, but I don't think it's either Warlock or Masks. Don't know. 7 is Freeway Fighter.
Not a clue about 1 or 8.

1.Curse of the Mummy. I forget the name of the monsters but they are formidable. Something like ‘The Abomination’ but not that. They look like the Scorpion King, (or rather the Scorpion King looks like THEM...?]
2.Temple of Terror. Phantom with his lantern
3.[?]Daggers of Darkness[?]. A sort of evil treeman, i do not know its name, there’s a woman urging silence in long grass in the picture too.
4.Creature of Havoc. The Chattermatter lies in wait
5.Seas of Blood. The herald[?] on the Isle of Trysta.
6.[?] Was this dragon an illusion in Stealer of Souls[?] It’s surely a Russ Nicholson.
7.Freeway Fighter. Man obsessed with rats in a an old theatre or cinema?
8.Nope. this one has me beaten

1 Maybe Curse of the Mummy 2 Phantom, Temple of Terror
3 Can't remember its name, but it's from Daggers of Darkness 4 Chattermatter, Creature of Havoc
5 Emissary of the King of the Four Winds, Seas of Blood 6 The art style suggests Stealer of Souls 7 Rat man, Freeway Fighter
8 Could be something from Bloodbones

I feel I owe
Jonathan Green
an apology - I love his books, and yet the two I failed to get were both his!
Clearly I'm too wrapped up in the words to pay attention to the artwork. Yeah, that must be it.

Would you like to play more of these? Would you prefer these to be easier or harder? Would you include the Scholastic series?

Keep going. I like them, I don't reply only because I don't know more than the people who do.
I'm happy for you to make them more challenging.

Would you like to play more of these? ? Yes please, I enjoy them a great deal Would you prefer these to be easier or harder? A mix, as you do already. Some which can be answered by most people on here, and one, two or three which are harder. Would you include the Scholastic series? I don't have the Scholastic reprints so I'd not have much of a chance of answering any questions based on those. But that's just me.

... I don't reply only because I don't know more than the people who do. I'm hanging around quite a lot on this forum and get a bit over-excited with these quizzes and am posting my answers as soon as I can. I'll lay off until others have had a go first.

Yes, please keep putting the easy ones amongst the difficult ones. It makes me feel a little less thick.
I haven't bought any reprints of any titles originally released by Puffin (save the 25th Anniversary edition of Warlock), so I wouldn't recognise any changed artwork in the Scholastic reprints. I think their new titles should be fair game, though (even if their artwork is completely appalling). If you did, it would be immediately obvious which ones are from the Scholastic era, but then most of the FF artists have a distinctive style anyway, and they'd still be difficult because I'm less familiar (or interested) with the art in those books.

Do you allow me to submit these quizzes on other forums or facebook groups? I've posted these on Facebook too. You can share these puzzles, I've done a fair few over the years. Just credit me as the designer. Make sure you have the correct answers too.

Would you like to play more of these? Would you prefer these to be easier or harder? Would you include the Scholastic series? Yes, is it possible to space the pictures out more, my eyes can't cope! Seems the right level at the moment. So a load of greyscale? I've not got any reprints but do have the newer titles.

I enjoy these even though I never guess as usually someone else has already submitted the same as I would have.
I would include the new Scholastic art as well - it's mostly an inferior version of the original anyway, and there may be some for whom this is the original art as they are new to the books

Cona Numdrum has caused a bit of chaos in the Fighting Fantasy world and you must identify what has gone wrong. Which FF books have been jumbled into the picture below? (Do not scroll down to comments if you don't want to spoil it for yourself before you play.)
