Now for the holy grail: does anyone actually own all 59 of the original series of fighting fantasy?
Note that this doesn't include any wizard titles (so if you have 1-58 and then wizard curse of the mummy it doesn't count).
If you are hard-core collector, do you go for black dragon or first editions?

To my mind, I have playable versions of all the books and I'm happy with that. It would have been relatively easy for me to have built up a full Puffin set at one stage, but never really saw the point.

Yes, but many of them are in a shocking state.

I have all 59. 1-7 are pre-greenspine editions (well, City still has a green spine because that's the colour it was on the original release, but it's not FF green), and 8 onwards are a slightly indiscriminate mix of sawtooth, gold dragon and black dragon.

I have all 59 greenspines. Now you have made me want to know exactly what different editions I have! - I shall report back whether you like it or not!

As I was introduced to the series via the library and have got rid of things worth a lot more than the Puffin FF series. Not to mention that there are a few books that I really loathe. Therefore, I have no real interest in owning them all. I would like to own my Top 25 or so but am not prepared to spend the ridiculous amounts of money required to do so.
I appreciate that there are those who do, and admire the dedication of those collectors (being one for several music acts for years) - but collecting FF is just not for me.

I own exactly one puffin (Robot Commando) and there's no dragon of any color on the cover.
