A mate of mine has made his own fan made FF Book that he refuse's to share and he won't let me share it but he will let me post quite a lot of info on how my playthrough went and a lot of relevant info
Here's how my playthrough went and a lot of relevant info. What do you think?
Basically theirs A Sick Noble out their who has a sick arena were Adventures, or even someone whose very desperate, can fight 1 or more of his collection of monsters, many of whom were created by sick magical experiments
My mate freely admits that the idea for this gamebook is inspired partly by what he thinks a outdoor version of Death-Trap Dungeon would look like, partly by what he thinks A Fighting Fantasy version of The Hunger Games from the book series of the same name would look like and partly by what he thinks by Fighting Fantasy version of the fights in Ancient Rome that pitted Gladiators against Wild Animals would look like
The characters not desperate but he's A Veteran whose getting on in years and he is starting to feel the 1st signs of getting very old, thankfully the characters only very old for A Adventurer not for their race and by the standards of his race he's only in his races version of very late 30's, for example the Elven Equivalent would be roughly 320 years old
Your too old for Deathtrap Dungeon and have been for at least 5 years, and your not, you think, too old for this and you want enough Gold to be able to retire whilst your still young enough to father a heir to inherit it
This represented by both you rolling 6D6 discarding both the highest and lowest and assigning the other 4 to whatever stats you want and by the fact that you've got 1 decent Magic Sword, 2 powerful Magic Items, 1 Armor and 1 Shield that aren't magical but can reduce the damage you take
The best thing is that The Player choose’s the monsters his or her player faces and he or she can even make his or her own, they can even given them unique abilities that he or she fought up
The more powerful the monsters that the player choose’s and/or creates for his or her player to face the higher his or her reward
In every conventional fight I beat my foe with between 1 and 3 Stamina left, luckily you get fully healed between fights
The foes I fought
Fights 1 to 3
All 3 foes are A Fighting Fantasy Version of Devils Snare from Harry Potter
Doesn’t fight in a conventional way, rather you rolls for both it, every time you 2D6 and whichever is the 1st 1 that you roll A 5 or less on 2D6 for wins
I won. Total prizes 25,000x3 or 75,000 Gold Coins
Fight 4
The foe I made is basically A Fighting Fantasy Version of The Tharrayn Jahksa that you can but aren't guaranteed to fight at Paragraph 101 of Lone Wolf Book 30
Has the exact same Skill, Stamina and Luck and other benefits as me
So including Modifiers for The Magic Sword, 2 Magic and The Armor and Shield that aren't magical but boost my defense's this thing has Attack Strength 13, Stamina 24, Luck 10 and everytime its wounded it has 2 2-in-6 chances of reducing the damage by -1, luckily if the 1st roll pass’s the other automatically fails
I won. Prize 200,000 Gold Coins
Fights 5 and 6
They both VS the same foe
VS A Fighting Fantasy Version of Big Boy The Giant from Fabled Lands Book 6 -Lords of The Rising Sun
His Skill is equal to mine +1D3 -1D3, his Stamina is equal to mine +3D6+1 and his Luck is equal to mine halved +1D3 and everytime he wounds the damage I take has A 50/50 chance of being permanently lost
That means he has Skill of 13, A Stamina of 36 and A Luck of 6, but I was lucky enough to never take permanent damage
Ooops I've just realized that I forgot that my character was using A +1 Sword and as his Skill is 1 higher then mine he actually has A Skill of 14, not 13
I won. Total prize's 100,000 Gold Coins both times
Fight 7
My foe is based off of A Fighting Fantasy Version of Piedmon from Digimon Season 1
Skill 12, Stamina 21 and Luck 6, 2 attacks and once his Stamina drops below 9 he stops fighting conventionally and starts using his unique attack, this only has A 3-in-11 chance of succeeding but if it succeeds its as instant kill
I won. Prize 130,000 Gold Coins
Fight 8
My foes is based off of A Fighting Fantasy Version of Mad Eyes Urbanz from The Redwall Book Pearls of Lustra
Skill 10, Stamina 17 and Luck 8, 2 attacks, every 3rd combat round he will use a dirty trick that lowers my Skill by -2 for that round and once his Stamina drops below 9 he stops fighting conventionally and starts using his unique attack, this only has A 3-in-11 chance of hitting but if it works its as instant kill
I won. Prize 110,000 Gold Coins
So that net’s me prizes totaling 715,000 Gold Coins
Looking that up on the relevant investment Charts then rolling on those charts to see what my characters invests in
Sadly even though 2 of my rolls were both very high the other 2 where both very low, which means that he only manages to buy 2 Small, in general not for their type, Domains and 1 Title, The Title is very Senior Baron and both the domains are Baronies that are 8.41% bigger then normal
Both of The Baronies are identical and are as follows
It has 17 massive Farms, 7 large farming communities, 3 decent sized villages, 3 small fishing communities and 1 small Manor House
Population wise it has 8 people per farm, 43 per per community, regardless of type, and 311 people per village or a total of a population of 1,489
Cash wise it nets me 1,489x10 or 14,890 Gold Coins per year, 10% goes to both The Church and The King, which means 2,978 Gold Coins and leaves 11,912 Gold Coins per year, take away 9,735 Gold Coins per year for the garrison leaves 2,177 Gold Coins per year and it also earns me 3D6+20 meals worth of farming produce per year, 3D3+1 1 pint bottles of Berry Wine -they all hold 2 dose's that when drank restore 2 Stamina per year and 1 very light Riding Horse per year
It has a garrison of 60 Light Infantry with Melee Weapons, 60 Light Infantry with Ranged Weapons, 7 Medium Foot Scouts that have both Melee Weapons and Ranged Weapons and the leader whose A Heavy Cavalrymen
