i couldn't find a thread about this so i thought i'd start one.
is there any site or existing group that runs an Advanced Fighting Fantasy adventure online (i.e. using Skype chat and Maptools or something similar)?
i'd love to join in one as i've never played through a campaign using the new rules (ArionGames FF). due to this i'm not confident enough in running my own adventure but would be keen to join one and learn the rules as i go along.
also, for those who have run AFF adventures, what was it like? an improvement over the original or too convoluted? easy to run or constantly had to refer to the rules? which classes are too weak to have fun with and which are potentially game-breakingly powerful?

I dont know much of the rules in AFF, but just writing to say that maybe if you post also on rpg.net , hopefully you will get more feedback on this topic

I never ran the old version, but this version was really easy to run. Most dice rolling is skill + special skill and combat is quite straightforward. The reference tables from here helped: www.arion-games.com/downloads.html

cheers both. offm: rpg.net seems pretty quiet on FF in general and doesn't look particularly popular. i think AFF is in a very niche market unfortunately. @slloyd: looks really useful. do you use Maptools or the mentioned Fantasy Grounds? i'm used to playing only D&D and Pathfinder so this is a lot different. is it better to use grid maps or gridless ones? also, how hard would it be for someone with little knowledge of FF to run the campaign? are there PDFs of Titan or Out of the Pit about?

That linky gives me a "404 Not Found" message, sadly. Does anyone have an alternate place to acquire the goods? I tried the Wayback Machine, but they didn't archive the PDFs.
