The last solo adventure from Warlock. Not too bad, a bit different from most FF adventures as you are an archaeologist in a modern setting. A few errors through the adventure, the main difficulty is in the obscene amount of insta-death paragraphs. Once you map it out, it becomes relatively straight forward and in saying this, minimum stats should get you through quite easily.
You start with:
- Fire Axe (the emergency kind, not the ‘enchanted with flames’ kind).
- Backpack.
- 3 Meals.
- Wait for your eyes to adapt to the darkness.
- Try the door in the south wall.
- Take Rope.
- Try the door in the north wall.
- Climb the ladder.
- You are carrying a rope.
- Walk around the arcade going to your left.
- Take Metal Mirror.
- Look in your pack to see if you have anything that may help.
- Use metal mirror.
- Fight Sk 5 St 8 Statues (Dazzled).
- Take a closer look at the bodies.
- Examine the first body.
- Take Flash Gun.
- Examine the third body.
- Take Notebook.
- Move to the north arcade.
- Try the stone by the sixth pillar.
- Go left.
- Carry straight on.
- Try to open the door.
- 2D6 Test Stamina.
- If success:
o Attack the scribe.
o Fight Sk 5 St 8 Scribe.
o Take Signet Ring (worth 5 Shekels).
- Take this new passage.
- Go down the corridor to your left.
- Examine the wall on your left.
- Reach into the gap.
- Take the gold tipped staff.
- Take Gold Tipped Staff.
- Push back the lever & continue down the corridor.
- Turn left.
- Try the door.
- Pull the bracket on the right.
- Prepare to fight whoever is in the other chamber.
- Bend down to stroke it.
- Take Gold Shield.
- Take Relics (worth 100 Shekels).
- Turn left.
- Try the door.
- Enter the room & sit down.
- You may eat a meal here.
- You have a notebook.
- Turn left.
- Carry straight on.
- Prepare to fight him.
- Carry straight on.
- Enter the room.
- Take one of the torches from the wall (2 Damage).
- Drink the liquid in the first vase.
- Restore Stamina to Initial Level.
- Shake out whatever is in the second vase.
- Take Stone Scarab.
- Leave the cell & continue your journey.
- Turn left.
- Go right.
- Stop to examine the bas relief.
- You found something shaped like a beetle in the cellars.
- You have a notebook with you.
- Keep to the ridged stones.
- Turn right.
- Try to talk to them.
- Make your way along in the direction you are facing when you leave the trapdoor.
- Turn to the man with the tally stick.
- Seize the stick out of his hands & break it.
- Approach one of the passers-by for help.
- Approach the goddess Isis.
- Answer ‘Cleopatra’.
- If you are not wearing a signet ring:
o Jump across the crack.
o Test Luck. Fail = Death.
- Search in your pack for something that may be of use.
- You have a flash gun.
- You are carrying something you can use as cover for the bowl.
- You have a Gold Shield (2 Damage).
- Fight Sk 14 St 20 Terratakamen for 3 rounds.
- You have a gold-tipped staff.
- Soon you will be back in Cairo and the adventure of the Temple of the Pharaoh will seem like a dream – or a nightmare. The treasure of Terratakamen’s temple is still in your pack, enormous riches that will make you very wealthy, but more importantly proof of your amazing experience and your near-miraculous escape.
