Hello dear friends , I am just starting to teach myself android programming and I think I should start with a basic 10 random dice roller, is there any interest in it for all of you? Should I share the apk once I finish?

4 dice would be more useful for FF fans - that's an ordinary character's stats or one round of single combat.

Sounds logical but I use Caly's RPG Dice Roller. It allows for up to 20 dice to be rolled at once. 4D6 is usually ok but there are many times when more dice is better i.e. fighting two opponents simultaneously. Offm, would be interested in having a look. Feel like I never have enough time these days though, will probably have to wait until i'm retired before I dig into my FF hobby again

From your comments I figure that it is better to ask how many dice you want to roll first, before the actual rolls. Edit : and make it up to 12 rolls , the equivalent to 3 fighting rounds?!

Up to you how you do it, but I would be interested in seeing what you produce.
Good luck!

Here it is the android program made, 1st hand : www.dropbox.com/s/bz9sidiw06deblo/12randomdicerolls-release.apk?dl=0Note: it was tested only in a virtual device , and made it a signed apk so it should work without giving permission to install from unknown sources, if not please check install from unknown sources from from the android menu. (only for this apk you have to uncheck it later as it is a security risk to install from uknown sources because it may be a malicious software)

As you know i'm brutally honest so take this with a grain of potash.
Pretty basic. I know it's to get into android but just a print of the results? I use bluestacks so can't comment on functionality too well. The results should be organised so you can actually see what you rolled.
If I was you i'd look at Caly's RPG Dice Roller. That is v.functional. It would also be a fun challenge to try and recreate it. The roller needs to be very clear so that when the player rolls they aren't squinting into the abyss to work out whether each number is the number rolled or the attempt.
I like that the default is 4. Making it clearer would really make a big difference.

You are right on spot on your comments, it ´s very basic and do not catch the eye so to speak, it is just to prove myself i could do it , but guess i have to improve much, thank you for your honesty.
