Share your most fitting discoveries or even your very own interpretation of Zharradan Marr's most infamous creation!
"Eyes / narrow to slits / scaly skin / gnarled fingers / You heave your great bulky body to its feet. Along your back, spines bristle. / heavy head / sharp claws retract."
Although I'm fairly certain the Creature has a head of hair (folicles that can grow through bone?!) thanks to the shadow silhouettes in Langford's illustrations... All other chaotic beings seem to be wary of you; aim for intimidation factor.
So I present to you all, the fantastic design of King Anu from Spaghettib*****d's grim-dark WYRM series. (can't spell it without 'a star')

"There is a look of pure fury in its ghostly white eyes / the creature is as tall as you and as bulky, but has a shaggy, furry body."
Les Edwards' thicc-boy interpretation of Steve's Devourer. One of the best jacket cover-arts for the Wizard rerun. I think he even included the "Two layers of jagged / teeth" at least on the roof of the mouth.
Cheating, I know, since it is a common misconception that this was the monster your character inhabited. Perhaps Marr used it as a template and improved the beast with Saurian features?

No tail is ever mentioned but I'd certainly believe this absolute unit might be a wee bit too top-heavy to chase those impudent peasants.

Finally found an example of a reptilian with (let's face it) long hair, as it hints to the Creature's appearance in the game-book.
One of Henry Justice Ford's illustrations of Grendel's Dam out of a fairytale collection 'The Red Book of Animal Stories' (1899)
