For all you Fighting Fantasy feet lovers, this one's for you! Can you name all the creatures these feet belong to?

Thanks for taking the time to do these quizzes - they are enjoyable. My answers in a spoiler otherwise it ruins it for others... 1. Wyvern. Forest of Doom 2. Six armed statue. Trial of Champions 3. Bay pitcher from the Bays Ball game, City of Thieves 4. Giant Crab. Island of the Lizard King 5. ?Giant mole thing? Portal of Evil 6. Golem, Tower of Destruction 7. Sphynx, Curse of the Mummy 8. Centaur, Caverns of the Snow Witch 9. Chest Beast, Midnight Rogue 10. Iron Cyclops, Warlock of Firetop Mountain 11. Don’t know! 12. Snattacat, The Seven Serpents
These from memory. I'm really stuck on number 11. Of course it's familiar... I just cannot place it.... I do recognise the artist though.

Also from memory. - Not sure
- The Idol in Trial of Champions
- A Bay from City of Thieves
- The Mungo-killing crab from Island of the Lizard King
- Could be one of the dinosaurs from Portal of Evil
- The roller-skating Golem from Tower of Destruction
- Maybe the Sphinx in Curse of the Mummy
- A Centaur in Caverns of the Snow Witch
- No idea
- The Iron Cyclops from The Warlock of Firetop Mountain
- Looks a bit Island of the Undead-y to me, but I couldn't put a name to it.
- The artwork has a John Blanche feel. Perhaps The Shamutanti Hills' Skunkbear.

OK I now know what number 11 is. Having identified the illustrator, I went through all the books it could be and in the end found it. I fooled myself, it wasn't familiar to me and I'd not have got it without looking it up.

Why can't I see any pictures? I couldn't see the eyes ones, either... No idea. It's literally part of the post and not linked to elsewhere. Email me if you want and I'll send you the two puzzles. vic_scarlan@hotmail.com

Fear not - it's clearly a Firefox thing. Both IE and Google Chrome show it fine. Right, let's have a look... 1 = Looks like Malcolm Barter's handiwork, but I'm not sure which illo it's from... 2 = Pass 3 = Is that a Bay from City Of Thieves? 4 = Looks like the Giant Crab from Island Of The Lizard King... 5 = Also an Alan Langford illo, but from later on in the range - something from Spellbreaker, maybe? 6 = Rollerblading Golem from Tower Of Destruction. Don't recall its given name, I'm afraid! 7 = It's either Dave Gallagher or late 50s Martin McKenna, but I couldn't tell you more than that! 8 = Centaur, Caverns Of The Snow Witch. 9 = It's the treasure chest monster! I can picture it, but I can't remember its name, or which book it's in! 10 = Iron Cyclops, The Warlock Of Firetop Mountain. 11 = Pass 12 = A Snattacat, from The Seven Serpents. Which is what all of them are if you view this on Firefox!
Wow, that was harder than I thought it would be. I clearly know nothing. Why am I here?

For those of us that love them, eh? One of the rare times on this forum that 'FF' might stand for something other than 'Fighting Fantasy'. As usual I'm pretty clueless. I think that 5 is the Armoured Mole* from Portal and 6 is the Great Golem from ToD. 1 reminds me of a spectral stalker but I'm not convinced.
*I was reading someone's speculation recently that the star on the nose of the Armoured Mole is a mistake, in that the author presumably asked the illustrator to do it like a 'star-nosed mole' which is a real creature. But the star-nosed mole has a much weirder, more interesting and perhaps more phobia-inducing appendage than a five-point star.

Me too. I guess Firefox sees it as some sort of undesirable thing? Weird.

For those that already have answered
