Last round stealer of souls was eliminated. Two votes this round, with two books being eliminated to leave us with the final two. Again, you don't have to use both votes if you don't feel strongly about two.

Played through Portal Of Evil two nights ago. (Missed out on the mirror, so lost the scrap with Horfak; also missed the igneolite, so would have lost anyway.) Had forgotten just how good it was - it's very wordy, but Peter Darvill-Evans writes excellent words, so that's a plus. And it's well-constructed, too - there's huge swathes you can miss out on at the first attempt, but it all hangs together extremely well whether you do or not.
It's really not deserving of elimination at this stage.

Going south to see the wizard is completely optional but adds greatly to the story. And there's so many other interesting optional paths. A firm contender for my Top 5. Sadly everyone seems to prefer Slaves of the Abyss and Dead of Night!

I only voted for 1 book this round, namely Vault. Somehow, the other 3 books are in joint first. Close indeed.

And people normally see this part as one of the weak spots in the series. Definitely not so. I think they should all go through.

Two more days to go. I might look back at previous polls to decide on two to go through if it stays this close.

Two more days to go. I might look back at previous polls to decide on two to go through if it stays this close. That sounds a little unfair. When it's this close, let them fight!

Interesting that Vault has fewer votes at this time than the last round...
I find the votes for Slaves rather odd given it is one of the best constructed books in every sense from story to writing to gameplay. Though I accept different people have different tastes.

Never played portal of evil. The other are 3 very good books. But for me vault of the vampire is the best of them (and i am not even a vampire's fan).
