I've come up with A Fathers day themed Thread. Here goes
Name your top 3 Fighting Fantasy Villains that you think would have been very good fathers if they'd won
To make it fair they don't have to be main villains, but the odds are that most of those selected will be and people are allowed to choose villains from Advanced Fighting Fantasy and fan made Fighting Fantasy Books
I will point out that its possible that someone may think that 1 villain would have been very good fathers if they'd won but a lot of people would disagree with him/her choice
So here are my top 3 Fighting Fantasy Villains that I think would have been very good fathers if they'd won
The Crimson Dynamo from The Fan Made Deadline to Destruction
Balthazar Strum from Stormbringer
Minos from Robot Commando

Most Fighting Fantasy villains would have been terrible fathers, people like Zagor, Zharraddan Marr and Balthus Dire were awful to the people they governed and stabbed their tutors family etc. I guess if Lord Azzur was your father it wouldn't be so different from having Mr. Burns as your father. The Riddling Reaver, who could count as a villain as a stretch (in unpublished FF and RPGs more). Can't think of a third one.

Lord Azzur would probably be a very demanding parent who would abandon you if you didn't meet the required standards but would be OK if you did. Most of the FF villains don't have much characterisation beyond being villains so it's hard to even think of who would be good or bad. It's tough to get a feel for what they would care about, beyond cackling madly and trying to destroy the world.
Count Heydrich seems to be pretty tolerant of his family, even though they all hate him, so he might be a good choice. Naas the Dark Elf seems pretty pleasant and reasonable for a baddie. I don't know if the Night Dragon could have children but I imagine he'd be supportive of them. Chinghiz from Daggers of Darkness probably wasn't very good as setting firm boundaries for his daughter's behaviour. L'Bastin would probably be hilarious until you reached your mid-teens and then he was just embarrassing.

Balthus Dire killed his own father, so I imagine he will not trust his own children in the future. Having said that he has to the trouble of kitting out a nursery for his children [I presume they are his], even if he does let them carry knives and doesn't bother clearing the blood splats off the walls.

Balthus Dire found the time to get married so it leads me to believe he'd want to be a family man. He's awful to everybody else but that doesn't mean he wouldn't make a good father.

Razaak's daddy paid tribute to his infernal little bundle of mischief on his epitaph, which was quite sweet of him.
Although I lie here, I am not yet done, The dark power continues, my soul is my son.
Aww.

Doktor Welsch of Moonrunner clearly rates parent-child relationships as important.
