Facebook keeps waving this thing at me so it's probably waving it at several of you too, but I thought I'd share it in case it's of interest. It's an interactive stage show which seems to have launched in Pittsburgh but is now about to land in the Edinburgh Festival.
Not sure how many people here that will make it available to other than perhaps stevendoig – though they're hinting they'd like to come to London too, maybe depending on their success North of the border.
"The world is full of danger, and it’s up to our heroes to set things right!
When called upon to defeat the monster that is inhabiting Coldfire Caverns,
little is known about the beast other than its insatiable appetite.
As they explore the caverns, the Audience and Players will uncover clues
and unlock items to best prepare them for the climactic confrontation.
But what deadly secrets lie in the depths of this ever-changing labyrinth?
And what exactly is the mysterious cryptid at the center of the caverns?
The story changes every night based on the Audience’s choices,
so the only way to find out is to be there!"
"The Twenty-Sided Tavern is an epic quest where you join a
troupe of adventurers on the journey of a lifetime.
In this interactive performance, you choose the characters,
the paths they take, and the outcome of the journey
all from the comfort of your seat.
The story changes every night and is a fantastic mixture
of laugh-out-loud comedy and a thrilling, electrifying narrative."
You use your phone to "...vote in elections and compete in minigames to influence the evening’s narrative."
