Thank you everyone who voted in previous rounds. This round we've eliminated those FFs that polled 5 or more votes as well as those that have polled 2 or fewer. This leaves us with the 9 gamebooks above, which you can vote on with 2 votes. Voting is blind closes 10 p.m. next Sunday.

If you don't mind me asking, as you're eliminating the books that have polled both the most and the least number of votes, I'm a bit unclear as to how this series of polls actually works. Are you trying to organise all of the books into some kind of ranking order, or will there be future polls designed to whittle the books down into the single least popular FF overall?

Are you trying to organise all of the books into some kind of ranking order, or will there be future polls designed to whittle the books down into the single least popular FF overall? I suspect people would have continued to have voted for\against the same few which would have made sorting out a ranking order difficult and taken longer. I was also keen to give some recognition to those gamebooks with no votes or very few votes. Yes, there will be a ranking order table at the end, which will be based on the number of rounds lasted and the number of votes cast (meaning the worst two are already Gates Of Death and Blood Of The Zombies, in that order - unsurprising). I appreciate this isn't the most obvious way to sort out results and to some it may not seem the most logical but I very much think it is the best way. When this series of polls has finished we will have the middle-ranking gamebooks, from which I will work out the other results backwards, but we will also have given equal recognition to those gamebooks everyone absolutely hates (rather than have people vote for them again and again) and the very popular ones (similar problem) and everything in between, as well.

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. Only thing there is, while your previous polls have established which the forum's least favourite books are in each of their chronological groups of 20, we haven't had an opportunity to vote for which we think are the worst overall - for example, as you've singled out Gates and Blood there, we know that they are the least popular in the 61+ series of books, but it would be interesting to see how they fared when put up against the likes of Chasms of Malice or Sky Lord. Might be an idea to finish up with a poll including all of the books that tallied the most votes from each of the round 1 polls - and then if you are doing a ranking, you'd have a definitive answer on which ones should finish right at the top of the Least Favourite list.

You mean a worst of the worst poll? That sounds appealling, I can do that before I work out the final rankings! Thank you for your suggestion!
