This is Part 3 of my series of polls on the interior art in Fighting Fantasy. Martin Mckenna is very dominant in these books as are some other artists such as Tony Hough. This will be difficult to narrow it down.
Enjoy choosing your 5 Favourite.

Voted for a couple no one else has before -
Spellbreaker because it deeply evokes the atmosphere of a hard world. I think I have a higher opinion of Spellbreaker's artwork than the gamebook. Magehunter because its distinctive, different and memorable.
Good to see Legend Of The Shadow Warriors leading, like the gamebook the artwork is sophisticated, tough and nuanced.

Martin Mckenna is king in this set. I decided to choose a couple of other artists as well to mix it up but this set as a whole is hard to separate - out of the 20 options, there's only 6 I'm not a fan of.

I thought most of this artwork was good; even Keep Of The Lich-Lord has a charm about it, as does Tower Of Destruction. The only one I'd never vote for is Eye Of The Dragon - the artwork is possibly even more disappointing than the gamebook, even if that's partly because the poor artist had mostly generic things to work with.

Keep of the Lich-lord, Master of Chaos, Black Vein prophecy, The crimson tide, Spellbreaker and Magehunter. The art is decent and includes a few that are fantastic but compared with the others, they aren't as good or consistent.

Like I implied in the above post my view is undoubtedly coloured by my dislike for the gamebook, the artwork effectively conveys the feels of a generic dungeon but is nothing special (so, like the writing).

The book is terrible but the art is great even if it might be subjects that are a little generic.

There's a BIG disconnect in this round between my favourite illustrations and my favourite books...

Wow this poll was hard: so many great sets of illustrations here. Settled on two from Martin McKenna, two from Tony Hough, and even a Russ Nicholson for good measure
