This is Part 4 of my series of polls on the interior art in Fighting Fantasy. Many Martin Mckenna illustrations in here plus all of the John Blanches 6 books in fact. There are also so terrible Scholastic artists and brilliant once offs (Tazio Bettin, Mike Mcarthy and Stephan Player). For me this will be the hardest lots The winners of the 4 polls will go into a final 20.
Enjoy choosing your 5 Favourite.

Me not being a huge fan of the Sorcery! art makes this one a bit easier.

Ditto. Five clear standouts for me, so a no brainer. Interesting that the spread is quite even among a larger range of titles in this set (for now)

this is one the hardest so far. So many good ones as the Sorcery! has some of the best art in the series imo.

I am also not a great fan of Sorcery! art as I dont much like John Blanches Style. I love both of the new books art especially Mike Mcarthy, I hope they both return. I also picked Martin Mckennas Night of the Necromancer and Tony Houghs Bloodbones. For my last choice I chose Riddling Reaver as some of the illustrations are amazing.

So, like Eye Of The Dragon, is Blood Of The Zombies illustrations much better than the gamebook? I haven't read Blood.

Hello Everyone. I will be leaving all four polls open until next wednesday when I will be releasing the top 20 poll. Mainly because I wont have any time between now and then. I am also releasing a Scholastic Illustrations poll. It will include all alternative scholastic illustrations and the first 4 original scholastic books. If I added Shadow of the Giants and Secrets of Salamonis they would smash the poll so it is not worth it. Finally I am planning on doing another series alongside this one, the best cover art poll, but I wish to first ask peoples opinions on how I should do it. Should I do it in batches of 20 or just 10 as for some books there are many varients. Should I include Scholastic full covers or porthole ones. Finally shoud I have some of the many other Fighting Fantasy addons such as AFF and Novels? Give your thoughts.

I suggest as many books as it takes for a 10+\15\20 poll as it is best you include all variants (some of the Scholastic covers aren't terrible and may get, even deserve, votes). I think all the porthole covers are absolutely terrible, and I'm definitely not alone, but someone voted for the Scholastic Caverns Of The Snow Witch illustrations so feel free to include them if you don't want to curb democrat\free-speech tendencies.

I keep saying this, but subject matter can affect one's view of artwork, my case in point being Clash Of The Princes. The artwork isn't awful, and some of the pictures are quite memorable, but it is a bland gamebook (or two gamebooks), which in many ways is a harder obstacle to overcome than being generic. I'm only not voting for them because there is some art here that is amazing and because I think I'm the kind of person easily swayed by subject matter. Will there be a run-off poll for art which gets no votes?
