This "J. Green" has only posted maybe 5 times since creating an account in 2013. So, if it is a joke\hoax, they have spent wayyy too much time and effort on it (and the joke's on them, as well) .

Fairly obviously it is a regular with maybe an old account they dropped some time ago yet ready to use when the occasion admits.

Is it your goal to insult every author of FF books who posts here, johnbrawn1972?

Notice the way "Jonathan Green's" profile says "currently writing YOU ARE THE HERO", which was of course published years ago.

Thanks, Misomiso. I'm always keen to learn how I can improve my gamebooks. And yes, it really is me. ;-) Well, I'm Charles X here, not Misomiso, so hopefully Misomiso himself can respond to your question and tell us why he criticises Night Of The Necromancer as "terrible". My apologies, Charles X. I'll use the old excuse of being overtired having had too much work to do. ;-)

Ha ha! Oh no! My keyboard warrior hyperbole has come home to roost! It just wasn't for me I'm afraid; I really liked Stormslayer and think Howl is amazing (Really incredibly achievement), but I just remember I couldn't really gel with Necromancer at all and so I just didn't like it - I was probably being WAY too harsh in my criticism but I was so shocked it do so well in the poll when StormSlayer got no votes! Crazy. I have ordered another copy though and will be replaying it so I can give it a fair chance, and will report back with a new review when I am done! Best dude and love your books though! No worries, and thank you for your kind comments regarding my other books. I'm afraid that once a book is out in the world, there are always things you are going to spot, or that other people are going to point out, that you wish you had spotted/improved before it went to print. With Dracula - Curse of the Vampire it was discovering that Bram Stoker always intended the story to be set in 1893, but I only discovered this after the book had been published. I had set it in the year Dracula was published: 1897.

I believe the mods normally give a VIP a special status. This must be an amusing joke? What can I do to prove I'm the real Jonathan Green? Well, the one that writes gamebooks anyway.

I am the biggest fan in the world when it comes to worshipping Night of the Necromancer. Ask anyone here? I am also a sceptic? Can the mods please give you VIP status if this is true?

This is the real Jon Green? Someone claimed to be Dave Morris posting on the Can You Brexit? Without Breaking Britain messageboard, when they were some random. My single biggest criticism of Night Of The Necromancer is it becomes too easy when you acquire Captain Cador's body (it's more interesting if you can't acquire the spook ability). Is there any evidence either way about whether that was Dave Morris? I used to spend a shameful amount of time on a forum for a reality TV show. From time to time we had people popping up on the forum and making unconfirmed claims to being someone on it. Eventually this would be proved one way or the other and 80% it really was them, so I tended to give people the benefit of the doubt until they sent DMs offering sex in return of money (which confirmed they were genuine).
I believe the mods normally give a VIP a special status. This must be an amusing joke? Does that happen on this forum? I thought the only variation on here was for the two moderators and otherwise according to how often we've posted (with Kieran, Sylas and myself gabbling so much we've been knighted in the hope it would shut us up).

If you wanted to prove it, a photo of you holding a sign that says "I am Jonathan Green. Believe me now, Johnbrawn?" followed by the current date would be hard to refute. I think that's how Reddit does the confirmations for its AMA threads.

FF co-writer sleepyscholar has assured me Dave Morris doesn't post on this forum, ever. 3. He doesn't sound remotely like Dave Morris, and the writing level and tone are well below what you'd expect from the well-educated Dave Morris.

This is starting to sound more like some sort of hostage 'proof-of-life' situation. Mr. Green is to provide images of himself holding up a copy of today's Daily Telegraph..

Whilst you're here Jon, could you tell us what genre of gamebook you're working on next? The next ACE Gamebook, after RONIN 47, is likely to be a Weird Western.

Spellbreaker I thought was much too difficult, and I'm not too sure about having a fight on the very first ref (with a -2 skill!). Knights of Doom I liked a lot and it wasn't quite as insane as SB, although I'll never forgive you for that fight with 4 (!) centaurs at the same time Curse of the Mummy I loved and nearly completed, despite the 'almost as insane as SB difficulty'. Having said that, it was interesting and had an intriguing setting. Bloodbones I thought was just as horribly difficult as SB, if not more so in some ways and I always think it's boring to start with a fight that you must fight every time (unless the rules are interesting or the fight is a bit random?). Howl of the Werewolf I liked a lot apart from the start where you had several fights in a row and then the situation in the cabin where the rules weren't quite clear. I loved the Change stat and I've nicked that idea for my next amateur book ( I mean 'borrowed'). Stormslayer I liked, especially all of the elemental/weather things. Night of the Necromancer I loved because it was so different and, for once, you didn't have a shopping list of items to think about. However, I'm not too sure about writing codewords backwards. I guess it's to 'hide' them from readers accidentally glancing at a list or something? Just seems a bit off.

Either this counts as the much-requested proof of identity or this is one hell of a power play by the impostor. Keep an eye on the book releases!

Yeah, but for number 2, how do you know I'm the real Paul Mason? Or that the real Paul Mason knows the real Dave Morris? Incidentally, VIP privilege on this forum, which I am sure Jon has as much as me, is immunity from being told your books 'suck seawater'. That precise wording, mind. Any other criticism is fair game.
