The winner of the round roll the 1d6 die for damage normally and while he check for how much he had hit he also check where his attack have hit on the body of the opponent. The looser of the round dont do nothing, dont throw another d6 for armor roll (less randomness), just wait to check how much damage will take by now.
This (body division) will show where the hit for a specific body area landed at the dmg dial roll: (can add +1 to the roll to try to hit the head or any other free area if have +1 skill for the actual weapon) the numbers now show exactly wich area of the body armors are covering and not just some random increased values.
1-2: legs 3: torso 4-5: arms 6: head
New armor table that makes sense: -------------------|1|2|3|4|5|6| Leather-------|0|0|1|0|0|0| Chainmail---|0|0|1|1|1|0| Breastplate-|0|0|2|1|1|0| Full plate*---|2|2|2|2|2|2|
Im play testing it and its working wonders. No more armor stalls, unless its a dagger vs full plate.
6's are the most powerfull blows one can deal trought dmg dial roll and that makes sense because they landing more damage at the head and while most ppl are not wearing a helmet anyways. Leather armor offer minimal protection covering only the torso.
