Lend the Dagger of Vislet to the Sage, and speak to Skrymir.

I sense the gap between rock and hard place narrowing. We can't just let him go on the rampage.
So yeah I guess we'd better tell the four metre tall warrior, bent on revenge from beyond the grave, that he's being a bit rude.
(Thanks for the dagger, trickster.)

Uh oh, spagettios...
From recall, the Enchanter has Swordthrust to mind. The giant killer sword does +D6 Damage. The Trickster is at 1, the Enchanter at 2, the Sage at 3.
I think i'm going to enjoy squishing each of you.

Holy cack!
Will try Swordthrust. 8, didn't work. Why did we agree to do this again?

Holy cack! Will try Swordthrust. 8, didn't work. Why did we agree to do this again? The 'let's humour the bloodthirsty ghost and backtrack later' plan didn't quite work out. Did everyone remember to cross their fingers? Oh well, it's been nice knowing you guys. I think i'm going to enjoy squishing each of you. Are you saying that as DM?? I don't think you're supposed to enjoy this.
Anyway... I'll take a step to the right and fling the Dagger of Vislet with all my might at the fiend's cold stone heart (assuming he doesn't kill me first). *Rolls 5* - hit! *Rolls 4* for damage. With his armour rating that's ...1 End point. We've got him on the run guys!

4 dice damage? Defend! And use my bonus action to attack. (8) a hit, thanks to the sword's bonus, doing (2) no damage that gets through the armour. Of all the times to get snake eyes...

Skrymir the Giant
The Trickster realises what is about to happen and assumes a defensive posture.
The Giant emits a roaring laugh that reverberates across the cavern as he lifts his hand up in a closed fist. It swings down toward... the Trickster! He rolls a...9(!) which would have hit if not for the Trickster's special dodge ability.
The Sage backs off and throws the Dagger of Vislet, clipping one of Skymir's toenails for 1 Damage. The Dagger returns to the Sage's hand.
The Enchanter, despite all of his hip movements, is unable to get Swordthrust out. A common problem, he assures himself, gaining a confidence point which should help him cast it next round.
The famous giant killer sword also makes an appearance, but instead of carving through the giant's calf, it bounces off, making a clanging sound which almost deafens its wielder.
End of round I: Skrymir Endurance: 54

Phew, so far so good. If the trickster keeps defending he's gonna be hard to hit and since the sage and I aren't next to him, we won't be targets and we can use the dagger/spells from afar. We can also use our healing scrolls to keep the trickster alive should the giant hit him (providing he doesn't kill him outright!) So we might have the slimmest of chances.
Anyway without further ado, I shall Swordthrust! 9. Bugger!

At least we'll be stomped to death with freshly pedicured feet. Enough with the foreplay, Enchanter, get it up him! Phew, so far so good. Anyway without further ado, I shall Swordthrust! 9. Bugger! I like the positive spin, but for one thing it relies on my being on target with the Boomera Dagger of Vislet every time... *Rolls 11* ...and that's not happening. Next round appears to be a choice between cowardice and suicide for me.

Skrymir the Giant
After a narrow escape with Skrymir's fists, the Trickster knows he must continue to duck and weave to avoid getting hit.
Skrymir changes his tack by attempting to step on the Trickster. It is almost like a bigger version of Riverdance. He rolls a 3,3,2(8)...and then rolls a 4,3,2,3(12). The Trickster manages to dive under fallen masonry just as the giant's foot comes down on him, narrowly avoiding the reaper's call. He is still seriously injured, taking 10 Damage.
The Sage throws the Dagger of Vislet once more into the melee, but this time the Dagger gets stuck in Skrymir's hair. It's a good look.
The Enchanter, as usual, struggles to cast even the simplest of spells.
End of round II:
Skrymir Endurance: 54 Trickster Endurance: 3

Can I use the healing scroll without messing up my spell concentration? If so, I'll use it at the very start of the round to heal the trickster to full strength. If it does mess up my concentration, then could you do the honours instead Mudworm?
Either way, I'll cast Swordthrust yet again. 9 again. Buggeration!

Defend until dead. Or until Skrymir's Endurance drops to single figures (optimistic, I know), in which case I might have a shot at finishing him off.

If it does mess up my concentration, then could you do the honours instead Mudworm? Yes to this ^ Otherwise I'm afraid I'm just going to attempt to impersonate a rock. I'll defend if Skrymir closes. (If you two get him down below 25, I might try one round of attacking with extra damage and hope for the best, but I'll just get killed if I try that for, say, 4-5 rounds on the trot.)

Skrymir the Giant
The Enchanter uses a healing scroll on the wounded Trickster, restoring him to full health.
Frustrated, Skrymir attempts to pound the Trickster with his fists, rolling a 12.
The Sage closes his eyes and is now in a deep meditative state. Perhaps by ignoring the giant, the giant will simply cease to exist. The Enchanter again demonstrates his ineptness. Truly pathetic.
End of round III:
Skrymir Endurance: 54

Ok, I will yet again try Swordthrust. 8. It worked! Roll for damage:8. Hmm that's disappointing. So 8 points after factoring in his armour.

Congratulations.
Any chance you could try a spell that actually does proper damage next time?

Skrymir the Giant
Skrymir attacks Trickster. Rolls a 10.
Enchanter unleashes Swordthrust, inflicting 8 Damage on Skrymir.
End of round IV: Skrymir Endurance: 46
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I assume that the Trickster and Sage will continue with their strategy, and the Enchanter will be calling a spell to mind (just tell me the spell next turn), so i'll just roll for Skrymir.
Skrymir attacks Trickster. Rolls a 9.
Enchanter calls a spell to mind ??

Skrymir the Giant
Skrymir attacks Trickster. Rolls a 9. That extra 1 to hit roll makes the Trickster extremely good at dodging stuff. You should all be dead by now.
Enchanter fails in the chanting.

Aw crap. Sorry Trickster. Mudworm, any chance you want to step forward and defend? Anyway, I'll try Nemesis Bolt. If it works and then I roll all 6s for damage, it will kill Skrymir. Hey, sometimes miracles happen!
7. Damn.

Oh crap. Farewell trickster, you loveable bastard. (Something tells me we're not going to be parted for long.) Champskees, how do the rules stand: Am I right in thinking that given Skrymir's awareness it's up to him which of us he attacks next? How about my fetching Blutgetranker? Can I say that I'll fetch it if Skrymir doesn't attack me and defend if he does? My priorities are: Blocking attacks to the Enchanter by defending if that's possible Defending myself if attacked Getting Blutgetranker (assuming I can use it). By the way, I've come to some fascinating conclusions about the nature of Enlightenment during my meditations over the past couple of rounds if anyone's interested...?

Oh perhaps you could use this as inspiration, enchanter. Some of this would be great.
(That's right, I've only ever seen one film.)
