I'm on the hunt for a couple of people.
1) I need a new news editor
2) I also need someone to take over the "solutions of the abyss" column.

This is still being worked on. But...
I've still no news editor... No one has volunteered to take up the solutions column...
and more dire...
Very little material is being submitted...

No one has volunteered to take up the solutions column... Sorry if this is an annoying question, but is johnbrawn1972 aware of this? I'd have expected him to grab the chance of presenting a solution to a larger audience.

I have only just seen this? What is this about? Is it some kind of online magazine? I only post on here as a fun hobby as I do the most boring job in world for the council so I am not aware of the wider community on here and elsewhere.

Hi John, Yes, your ultra-focussed viewpoint has caused you to miss out a bit here. To answer as simply as possible: 1. Alex edits a celebrated Fighting Fantasy-themed fanzine featuring all kinds of good stuff including interviews with authors, playthroughs of the books, reviews of FF conversions and other gamebooks, FF-style fan-written mini adventures and so on. 2. Although this forum has inevitably become a place (one of the best) to discuss everything to do with FF books, it was primarily set up to discuss issues of the fanzine which is why this is the Fighting Fantazine forum. 3. You can download back issues as pdfs here for free (some of them are available as paper copies for a small fee – the pdfs are locked so they are difficult to print). 4. Champskees did a solutions column for a couple of issues. Perhaps if you download issue 15 and go to page 86 you might understand why I tagged you in this thread.

Quite frankly I will offer Night Of The Necromancer as that is my most considered solution. If a link to here suffices I will offer a list of reasons why it works as best as I can describe.

What other sorts of things do you need, Alex?
It crossed my mind that I could probably do a review of Morris and Thomson's Can You Brexit? gamebook if you felt it was suitable and wouldn't be too long after publication.

Articles seem to be the big sticking point. As for reviews, yes, I'd love a review of Can You Brexit?.

We'd actually like to print the step-by-step instructions, not just a link to a website! Oddly enough I managed to have a look at the download so I understand what you are after and this seems a perfect project for me where fortunately all the hard work is already done. The 7-14-7 solution is most suitable as this fits the same criteria as Jake with his Robot Commando solution. There are a few things I can do. It is possible to slim it down a little if there is a word limit. Umberto, Yorrick and Falstaff can be eliminated as only Marrok is necessary. I put my ideas in brackets as suggestions so should these could be deleted as they are strictly superfluous. The 'logic' I follow is manifestly obvious so an enthusiast should be able to surmise why I have made these decisions. You could copy and paste my solution and cut out the middle man. If you want a more direct edit I will e-mail it to you. What was I saying about not providing bespoke solutions but this is a special case especially when my ego is involved. Do you receive anything for contributing? A free copy or something like that?

I have completed a stripped down Marrok only solution which eliminates Umberto and the rest. Also I have eliminated the extraneous failed skill rolls which are redundant because you acquire the soul shield.
The main solution is now 3 pages in Arial 10. Page 4 includes the death solutions. I will e-mail this if you want.

Hi, I'm interested in submitting an FF adventure or two. Are you looking to accept those, and if so, do you have an upper limit on the number of paragraphs?

Hi, I'm interested in submitting an FF adventure or two. Are you looking to accept those, and if so, do you have an upper limit on the number of paragraphs? At this stage we'd only want a 1-page summary of what the adventure is about, style, rules etc. so we can decide if it is a good fit. Upper limit for the adventure is 200 paragraphs.

Just sent out an email to contributors whose email addresses still work/I still have. Issue #17 will still happen. If you have ideas for material, please get in touch.

Very little material is being submitted... Hello dear gamebook fans, I'm going (again) to MantiCon this year. MantiCon is here in Germany from 15. till 18.08.2019. Some famous guests are coming this year: Ben Devere, Gary Chalk, Russ Nicholson and Jonathan Green. I'm very exited. I'm also set up a little gamebook libray and a little exhibiton on this convention: "Make yourselves at home in the Game Book Library! I brought some books from my collection which you can read and play here. I would also love to tell you some things about the books and series. To make you feel even more comfortable, there's delicious tea and biscuits to give you strength for your adventure. I'll also be presenting some drawings by artists who are influenced by the classic illustrations in the game book. I'm looking forward to your visit! The Dragon Librarian thanks you for the careful handling of the books."
I could wrote a short review of the convention and send you some photos from it. Could this be interesting for your Fighting Fantazine?

Do any of your back issues contain maps for any of th Stephen Hand Books? Ie Dead of Night, Legend of the Shadow Warriors, or Moonrunner?
Just interested to see how they work and I'm terrible at mapping.
Many thanks

Are you interested in accepting fan fiction set in the FF universe of Titan?

Are you interested in accepting fan fiction set in the FF universe of Titan? Depends on the left. One-off short instalments are best at the moment as we have an ongoing story already.
