(Do I need to roll again yet? 10 + 1 + 9 = 20, if so.)

Talbion, Prex, Redric and Jack all make haste to the door. The zombie is given a clear opening to all of them, but it is Talbion who pays for his escape, losing 2 stamina points.
The zombie has decided to attack the barbarian, but he is far too strong for the undead creature. The zombie takes 4 damage but is still shuffling forward.
Civil continues reading. He first reads the spell passage he had just discovered. The party brace themselves for the spell's effect.
But nothing happens. He commits the spell to memory; perhaps it could come in handy in future.
The zombie attacks Throma with its rotting clawed hands.
Zombie attacks Throma. Attack Strength 13.

Civil continues to read the book, determined to finish what he started. After reading pages 16 and 17, it seems no new knowledge is gained from the spellbook.
Meanwhile, the heavy hitters of the party are holding off the zombie attack with grim resolve. The zombie is hacked to pieces, before another slams into the group.
Zombie attacks Throma. Attack Strength 16.

Civil reads the final two pages whilst the party dispatch their most recent undead opponent. Pages 18 & 19 are full of scribble and are impossible to decipher. He closes the book and places it back where he found it. The party are on edge for the next few minutes, expecting another zombie to rise yet again. But the zombie never comes.
It appears the zombie invasion is over.

Both Talbion and Jack search the room thoroughly. It appears that the sole purpose of this room was to house the book. Nothing else of significance is found.

With emphasis, Civil says the spell: "Fanananana Cosim Patana!" After reciting the spell, Civil steps back and waits to see if anything happens. The door swings open, revealing a small room! The party take a closer look... The room is little bigger than a cupboard. In the centre of the wall opposite is an ornate table, and on this table is a wooden chest.

The party stand at the opening, their adventuring experience advising caution. Having come this far, none of them appear to be too keen to wade in and trigger whatever hellishly devised trap is waiting for them in the room with the chest. But they do want to see what's in the chest...
So they persuade Jack to go in for them.
The air is tense as he moves forward, each step evoking hushed remarks from at least one of the adventurers. Inspecting the walls, the floor and the chest, Jack cannot see anything obvious that would trigger a trap. He is now at the chest. Beads of sweat on his forehead, he tries to open the lid.
It is unlocked! Opening the lid slowly, Jack cannot believe what is inside. 48 Gold Pieces, and four jewels. Each of these jewels would fetch around 8 Gold Pieces each.
