Those wings irritate me. Shouldn't we hack them off, just in case, before dividing the loot?

Are they part of the chest or the ornate table?

Murg: "This seems like a treasure room! Let us claim the loot and exit this foul place. Unless, anyone wants to try the middle door..."

To Civil: "I imagine they're just ornamentation - if they were anything untoward the trap probably would have been sprung by now. But hack them off if you wish to be certain." To all: "It seems a slim reward for risking our necks in coming here. Let's see if we can work out how to open the middle door."

Although they appear to be made of metal, Jack's cutlass lops the first wing off very easily, revealing its wooden nature. After chopping off the second wing, he checks the chest and table for any hidden caches, but does not find anything new.

"Jack, how about you take those coins and that jewel out of your pocket and we divide things more fairly? Before things turn nasty again.
"How about you, Throma, Murg and I each take a jewel and three gold pieces. Redric and Prex take 11 gold pieces each and then Civil takes 14 as he was the one who got the door open?"

"Agreed." Redric takes his share unless anyone objects.

"?!"
"I believe I've taken no more than my fair share! There's 7 by 7 coins short 1 there – unlucky for one but not for me. As to the gems, it seems only right that those most deserving get the extras. Was that not how that emerald found its pocket afore? [Glances at Murg] No issue with the book-flicker taking an extra, but 'twas my idea to use that spell in here – and a looong idling all round once the door swung while I went checking for traps! They say there's buccaneers and passengers on every ship...
"And the only time I recall things went 'nasty' was when you tried to cut Throma's blood pipe when the, what was it? Oh yes, 'foul woman' was trying to save you from the tail-wench!"

"Tail wench? Not sure I know what you mean. I was referring to the murder of that crazy old man."
Talbion looks like he might pull forth his spear for a second but then looking at Jack's sharp cutlass he pales slightly.
"I'm happy to go with the party consensus on this one."

"That old fool?! If that son of a biscuit-eater were still along we'd have been battling ten dead men apiece in the book room – while he danced a naked hornpipe and sang love shanties in the background!"
*Keeps hand pressed over pocket.*
"Look if we can't settle this easy let's do it some other place where we won't be interrupted. I don't reckon it's safe here. As the saying goes, 'Don't divide the plunder afore you've slaughtered the crew'. Just grab some loot and move.
"Are we breaking in this mid door or not? I could go either way – not sure there'd be loot in two places – but let's be quick about it if we do."

"We sure that spell works only for this particular door? Because I'm gonna try it on the middle one as well, then we can still try breaking it down."
Civilheads for the middle door.

It is indeed locked; the door doesn't budge at all. You'll likely need to break it down.

In particular, someone had better hold some coins for Prex as he still seems to be still staring at the place the zombies were coming from, unable to believe that more are not on their way. "Uhh, right, no need for that." I quickly pocket the coins.

Throma attempts to charge down the door (lose 1 stamina point). The wooden frame snaps, taking the ornate lock with it, and the adventurers peer inside... The room inside is lavishly decorated with rich drapes. Hanging across each of the corners on the ceiling are golden net-like webs. This is the throne room of the Spider-King! Seated, or rather squatting - on a hand-carved bench at the far end of the room is the Spider-King himself; an ugly, bulky creature with a spider's body and the head of a man. As you walk in, his eyes open and he glares at you. 'Impudent intruders!' he cries. 'Bow down to the ground before the Spider-King!'

The Spider-King's head turns red as he is overcome with a most furious rage. He shouts out to the party.
'YOU DARE TO OPPOSE ME? THEN DIE!!!'
Suddenly, one of the huge spiderwebs hanging from the ceiling drops down directly on the adventurers! Each of them is now caught under this particularly thick and heavy web, which glows a dull green. This is no ordinary web, and each adventurer must attempt to free themselves.
*Escaping the web*
In order to escape the web, each adventurer must roll a total of 12 in the following way: each round, each hero will roll two dice. The first roll (two dice) will count towards this total. The second roll counts against it; the third roll is added to the total; the fourth roll is subtracted from the total; the fifth roll is added, and so on. The adventurer must keep rolling until he or she has a running total of 12 - which could take some time!
However, each time the total drops below zero, the adventurer will lose 1 stamina point due to the draining nature of the web! The adventurers are essentially incapacitated until they free themselves from the Spider-King's trap. The Spider-King himself is currently stationary, perhaps to wait for the web to weaken some of the heroes first.
So... to get the ball rolling and to keep some semblance of order, we will do 2 rounds at a time. Roll 2D6 twice and keep track of your running total, and post the results as per below:
E.g. Rd1: 7 Rd2: 3
In the example above you rolled a 7, followed by a 4 (7-4=3). If unsure/can't be bothered, posting your rolls is fine.
I will tabulate the results similar to how normal battle rounds are conducted. Note you will not be able to take any action/s until you are free of the webbing.
