"I suggest we head off straight away single file. I will be armed with my trusty club. I am accustomed to following the 'rules' as a keeper of scrolls so I agree with the above"

"Yes... I remember this" thought kradon out loud to him self.
"What did you say?" Somebody asked. "Nothing. Let's just move forward. And do not worry. I shall not die before this day is over."

(I'm equipped with a dagger by the way)

I once hear from an old midget who came from zengis... That yaztromo once in his youth came to this well.. When he was catched in the hills... Caught in illness by the hands of Jendgraal...in my youth i used to love the sunset.. Now i do not love it anymore... In fact i hate it

"the old man is coughing blood" someone shouted "someone should take him back!" "No!" Kradon replied vehemently, "Let us go forward. Now there's no turning back"

...and so the adventurers continue down the cold, dank passageway in single file, Civil taking point, his eyes peeled for any sign of traps of the pitted variety. He spends several minutes checking the floor and walls, but finds nothing of the sort. As the party ventures deeper into the passage, Talbion makes the suggestion of lighting their lanterns in order to see better. A fine suggestion, though it seems his companions didn't hear him, or perhaps cannot afford to use their one skin of oil right now, because they continue to trudge through the muddy path in the ever dimming light. With the exception of Talbion, all characters must roll a D6. A roll of 1 means you have stumbled over and grazed your knees, losing 1 stamina point! (I have noted that Talbion has lit his lantern). The passageway continues onwards for some twenty metres and then ends in a sturdy door. The walls of the passageway are rocky and the ground underfoot is muddy.

I rolled a four.
Murg lights his lantern (handaxe in one hand, lantern in the other).
*quiet barbarian voice*
"Comrades! Let me use my keen outlander hearing skills to listen to what may be behind the door." Murg sticks his ear to the door and has a listen.

Murg hears the following: You hear a faint twittering coming from beyond the door, reminding you of birds...or mice...you are not sure exactly.

"Vermin! There's vermin behind the door, lads. Birds, mice, or something like that?"

(I cannot believe I rolled a 1!)
"I had better light my lantern as these knees are somewhat soft due to my attention being addressed to scrolls. I suggest the two hardiest warriors go through the door first. Is the corridor wide enough to stand side by side so they can fight together?".

A light appears in the south, moving towards the party. As it gets closer, Jack is able to make out that the source is a lantern, being carried by Throma. "I heard you lot blundering around, and realised it would be unheroic to leave you in the dark."Salutes Talbion. "Well, most of you." "Has anyone tried the door handle yet?"

*barbarian stage whisper*
"Good to see you comrade Throma. Thought you were a wandering monster for a moment there..."
Murg will try the door-handle gingerly, to see if the door is locked. He's using his left hand for this, after placing the lantern on the floor. His axe is still in his right hand.

You try the handle; it is locked. It doesn't look like there is a keyhole though...

To Throma
"It looks like you are just in time seeing as you are the hardiest. Do you want to try forcing the door?"

While Murg, Throma and Civil are talking, Talbion searches the walls either side of the door for secret doors.
