This year I'm going again to MantiCon here in Germany. MantiCon is the biggest convention for gamebook fans in Germany. "Big" can't be compared to events like Fighing Fantasy Fest, because the community here is much smaller. I will expect again maybe 100-150 visitors. This year I will set up a small gamebook library with a part of my own collection. I also will set up a small exhibiton of gamebook fanart and artwork that is inspired by classic gamebook illustrations. The artists that already joined my exhibition are Aaron Howdle (UK), Johan Tildow (Denmark), Huargo (I don't know his full name) (Spain) and Gaucelm de Villaret (France). For this event I made this drawing of an imaginary gamebook library. The idea to this library was inspired by a speech from Paul Mason at Manticon 2018 called "Are gamers fans?" In his definition a fan is someone who is not olny consuming his field of interest. Instead he share it with other fans and give something back. You must understand: greenspines and other gamebooks from the UK are hard to get here in Germany and I only know a few people who are possessing them. And the later FF books became too pricey over the last years. I hope my little exhibition will help other fans to get to know the older books that weren't translated into german. The drawing is also inspired by the Limbo library from Spectral Stalkers (illustration by Tony Hough). I'm thinking about to make a small run of prints from this drawing but I'm very unsure about the copyright. It's only the names on the spines so it would't be a big rip-off but it feels not right. Can anyone of you help me with this issue? Otherwise I would remove the names from the spines and replace them with imaginery titles.

Can't advise on the legalities unfortunately.

The listing of just titles is not a problem. Too bad I cannot be at Manticon T_T Feel free to share your impressions once you are back. What is the font named you use for the text? It looks well fitting for FF.

Well, this is the PRO version, you have to pay for it (but the creators deserve it). Mine I got somewhere for free. I guess Regular is the shareware Version. Copyright held by Alejandro Paul and Angel Koziupa.
