Doing this FF book that i have been making, i thought that with a nice riddle it would give a nice difficult touch... And so i thought... And ive tested... One riddle... Easily Solved... Another more difficult... Solved... Another more and more difficult... Solved... The most difficult of all riddles i could remember... Solved... And then... I remember a classic sentence: "How do you hide something from the greatest detective in the world? You put it under his nose and wait"

I was thinking the answer was something like "a puzzle" - once you know it, you've lost it, etc. That latest clue reinforces my thought that it is something along these lines.

I am afraid the gentlemen in question is playing his other persona at the moment. Perhaps he will return in a few months.

I bet it's something really cryptic like "the answer is no answer", or something Vagsancho came up with after smoking dope he can't even remember anymore. Apt the number one fan of Crypt should come up with the world's hardest riddle.

Whatever happened to Vag? Did he change his name to Jmisbest?

I don't know what has happened to vagsancho, but there is no evidence to suggest that he and jmisbest are the same individual. While both are unconventional members of the forum, their idiosyncrasies are quite distinct.

Perhaps the most challenging puzzle is in COH where you cannot legally turn to the right reference because the publishers and editors messed-up? Myself and my brother spent YEARS working out what to do. We drew a map.

If editorial blunders count as puzzles, I nominate 'winning Saga of the Stormchaser and Blood of the Mandrakes' as the most challenging, as Puffin made the mistake of cancelling the range before they'd been written, which makes it quite spectacularly difficult to play them.
