Your avatar appears to have a lot of white space around it. Perhaps trimming this off and re-uploading your avatar may help make it appear bigger.

Hi all, work on issue #12 is proceeding apace. Not all of the content is nailed down as yet. What we do have locked in so far are: - Robin Waterfield interview
- Starhunt: Void Slavers mini-FF adventure
- The Geography of Kharé article
- Fighting Dantasy column
- Chronicle of Heroes column
Since there seems to be so many new gamebooks out there we are on the look out for people to help review them alongside myself and Stuart for The Arcane Archive section of the magazine.

For the 50th anniversary year I am currently watching the series from the start. This is something I've never done before (watching the show in order) and will be filling in the missing episode gaps with either the BBC DVD animated episodes or the Loose Canon reckons.
Currently I am halfway through The Dalek Invasion of Earth.

I've only been sent the Port Blacksand poster so far. Since I put down money for a leather-bound copy, I'm still waiting for the book!

This section (and some others) have Posting Guidelines pinned at the top. Sections that have such guidelines are subject to special rules or specific focuses, and posters should familiarize themselves with the guidelines to help keep the forum tidy. The "Roll 1d6 - Help for New Fans of Gamebooks" section is very special. The guidelines are as follows: When you're new to something as huge as gamebooks, you're bound to have a lot of questions. But a big forum like this can be intimidating, too, and maybe you're not too keen on asking a question you know is "such a newbie question" for fear of receiving nothing but a bunch of snarky and dismissive answers. This is your section! Here, friendly fans will help familiarize you new fans with the foundations of gamebook history and/or mechanics.Feel free to ask the most basic of questions, such as... - What was the first gamebook?
- Which came first, Fighting Fantasy or Lone Wolf?
- Where can I buy gamebooks from?
- It says Steve Jackson & Ian Livingstone on the cover, but who really wrote Masks of Mayhem?
For the seasoned veteran fans, this is the place to help out the new fans - please, PLEASE, no teasing of any kind; what we want are straightforward, friendly, helpful, and detailed (where possible) answers. This is NOT the place for cheeky or sarcastic comedy or misleading answers. If that's your style, please stay out of this section. Also, although links are not unhelpful, we would prefer you actually give answers in the thread - remember, detailed (where possible) - instead of just throwing up a link to a Wiki article. Posts that contain nothing but a link may be deleted. Additionally: please try to restrict yourself to answering all questions with factual information only, not with speculation or theories. Thanks, and new fans - welcome to the universe of gamebooks!

Post your name change request here in this thread.
Name changes are permitted only once every four months, counting either from the member's join date or the date of a previous name change (whichever is later). Names of living OR dead celebrities and other public figures (e.g. "Steve Jackson") are not allowed unless it can be proven that it is the real name of the member.
Names must be between 4 and 20 characters long.
Some experts on internet social interaction recommend not changing one's user name, due to the immediate loss of recognition and identity that it causes. We permit name changes, but do concur with the expert recommendations to keep your name unchanged whenever possible.

Hi all,
here's an update on the printed copies option. At Graham's suggestion I'm looking at using RPGNow to make the magazine available (using MagCloud made the magazine too expensive per issue for most people). The downside of this will be that the inside covers will have to be blank. The upside is that the magazine should hopefully only cost around £5 per issue.
