"Bait? Hah - the old man has been uncooperative in much less demanding tasks, he would just scream out to attract anyones attention. No, a criminal of this calibre is a liability and needs to be dealt with. What do you have to say for yourself, Kradon?"

"NAARGAN KHUUll!" Kradon screams suddenly! "That is your name, demigod! Return to your heaven, cursed one, and set us free from all your cruel dominion! Out Naargan Khull! Out out out!!" And at the same time, kradon starts betering with his walking stick across the walls of the room."

(snake eyes – pass) (Rolled a 6 to recognise Razaak's name!) Redric's ears prick up and he draws his sword, levelling it at Kradon. "Razaak? He was an evil necromancer who wanted to destroy Allansia, and the old man has admitted to being his disciple! Kradon has hindered us at every turn of this journey, and I say we put him to death here and now. Who's with me, comrades?" "Don't hold with sky-wavers good or bad. They just bring their own rules and new dangers. Could we not use him for bait like Throma wanted to with that mouse? "I like mice." Just on the search Jack did on the eastern wall: You have found a secret door, flush against the wall. Searching for some way to open it, you are lucky and find a well-hidden catch that you assume will open it.

Talbion hangs back, waiting to see what develops here. For Talbion: In the NW corner of the room, you spot something hidden against the mural wall. It is a very small humanoid creature, about 20cm tall, with thin wings. It chuckles and twitters as the party members argue with themselves.

Eat some Provisions, keeping careful watch in case there's anything hiding here. (8) You do not spot anything out of the ordinary. I'm assuming you want to resolve the conversation with Razaak Junior before consuming your meal.

"I would not be so sure of that. If we let him live, one of us needs to guard him and silence him when necessary. Mind you, if I do the guarding, the silencing will be permanently."
*Demonstratively, CS closes on Kradon and brings his left hand firmly down on his shoulder, with his right gripping his club.*

"My dear comrade Civil... something, do you feel stronger showing your physical superiority in face of a sick ninety four years old man?" But suddenly, totally anaware of his comrade... Kradon looks to the above and says: "God is it now that i will loose? God is it now that i will die? And My existence will cease? Is it now that i will not longer breath? Is it now that the absolute emptyness will swallow me for all the eternity?"

Kradon has no intention of fighting a comrade. He merely stares blankly at the sky, waiting stoically for his fate.

Several members of the group begin to close in on Kradon. Somehow, the murals surrounding the room appear to grow darker, as if the party were walking underneath a particularly thick canopy.
A hand lands firmly on the 94 year old's shoulder. The heretic shrugs, looks up dramatically, and makes one final call to his 'god', hands in the air, begging for deliverance.
The last thing he hears is the sound of his skull cracking, Jack's blade almost splitting Kradon's bulbous head in two. Other party members move in, taking turns to cut, beat and bludgeon the bloodied mess lying in the centre of the room. The others turn away in disgust or ambivalence, but none attempt to save him.
Each of the party members take a good long look at each other, nod their heads, and prepare to move on. The murals once again lighten.
What they didn't know, with the exception of Talbion, is that there is another creature in the room with them. It is a Wood Pixie, 20cm tall with a thin pair of wings. It has been watching the party, and after Talbion attempted to (unsuccessfully) grab it, and the party murdered an elderly man, it has decided you are clearly a hostile group.
It casts a Drowse spell on the two characters it finds to be the most immediate threats; Talbion and Jack. Both of these characters lose 2 skill and their current Stamina is reduced to half their Initial Stamina scores.
The Wood Pixie then retreats to a small crack high up near the ceiling and is gone.

In the ground, bleeding, mortaly wounded, mercilessly murdered, with his blinded eyes, Kradon still whispers his last words: "Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do." And dies.

"Well my friends I had hoped that there would be no need for this sort of thing on this expedition, but when you have a stowaway aboard who might scuttle the ship there comes a time when you must show no quarter.
"As it seems that Talbion and I have suffered the brunt of the necessary work of ending the life of this fiend and defending the group from that flying goblin thing, I suggest we each take one of the old fool's provisions for sustenance.
"Now, I did not wish to reveal this before the work was done, but I believe I've discovered another way forward."
*Jack indicates apparent door and catch in the wall.*
*If no one actively tries to prevent him, Jack will eat one of Kradon's provisions.*

Talbion shakes his head, leaning against a wall to steady himself.
"Sorry guys, thought I had the bugger."
He looks down at Kradon's body.
"I want no part in this bloody business. Loot his body if you must, but leave me out of it."
He eats a portion of his own provisions, averting his eyes from the stiffening corpse.

After their companion's gruesome and unnecessarily brutal death, several of the adventurers decide it's still a fairly good spot for a bit of tucker.
For those adventurer's who are eating, remember to restore 4 stamina and remove one provision from your items.
After the meal, it is obvious that the break was most certainly warranted, and even those who did not eat are feeling much better. All adventurers should note that the skill penalty from the ghost's initial scare has worn off.
Jack and Talbion also notice that the effects of the Drowse spell have also worn off (restore your skill loss & as you have both eaten, I will allow for an additional 4 stamina points to be recovered). Jack may also add the other portion of Kradon's provisions to his own.

*Jack is visibly disappointed at the lack of excitement in his finding a secret door compared to an ordinary, everyday murder*
"Now the sorcery's off my head I'll give this catch a try. Can someone stand alongside lest there be another guard-snake or suchlike?"
*Moves to try catch*
