Ooops sorry my friend forgot to tell me that Scaramanga is only getting 25% of the total fee upfront cos he's being hired to kill the father of the guy that's paying him but the hirer can only afford half a million upfront and the other million and a half of Scaramanga's fee is coming out of the guys inheritance so its not a intentional lack of trust

Inheritances can be tricky things. Can the hirer prove that he's going to get the fortune, that there's no secret will leaving everything to charity or an old flame or the father's pet hamster?

As I've decided to A 1st edition Advanced Fighting Fantasy for a upcoming campaign I've generated A 1st edition Advanced Fighting Fantasy Character and want to know what kind of character do you think his abilities suggest he is?
He has Skill 6+6-3 or 9, Stamina 12+6+4 or 22, Luck 6+4 or 10, Faith, Presence and Honour all 1D3 or 3 and Resolve 5+3 or 8
My roll for his Social Scale roll of 1D6 or A 4 and that means both parents were of similiar influence and position to the likes of very Wealthily Merchants, very senior members of The Land Owning Gentry and Very Minor Barons
His Skills are Magic 12, Climb 10, Con 10, Disguise 10, Pick Lock 10, Ride 10, Trap Knowledge 10, Sneak 10, Swim 10 and Weapon -Sword 10
Spell wise he knows The 2 Stamina Cost Spells Sleep and Summon and The 1 Stamina Cost Spells Fireball, Ignite, Open, Stamina and Weakness
Also here's some of my plans for him
My character can and will employ Npcs as allies and pays them with money that he replaces /them using A Combination of his Summon and Stamina Spells
He can even try to recruit unfriendly people and can even try to recruit allies that died in the official books, such as Von Ritchen and Katya in Howl of The Werewolf As well as which anything and member of the groups sells, eats, drinks, consumes, barters away, trades away, loses, has confiscated from him/her or has stolen from him/her he replaces them using A Combination of his Summon and Stamina Spells
After Tower of The Sorcerer we sell The Gems, but first he gets more of them using A Combination of his Summon and Stamina Spells, and does it enough to give all 6 Pcs 1 bag holding 23 Tiny Gems worth 1 Gold Coin each
As well as after Darkness Over Kaad he uses A Combination of his Summon and Stamina Spells to get enough Gold Coins to net all 6 of us 580 Gold Coins each rather then 1,000 Gold Coins to share between us

Just for a laugh I'm working on A RPG Version of Tales of The Bird Isles and want to know if you thinks its reasonable to allow The Character my player will be using to store stuff on his ship that he can't or won't carry on him but doesn't want to risk losing?

I've been thinking about something relating to 1st edition Advanced Fighting Fantasy. Can I please have your thoughts on it?
If A Villain, for example 1st edition Advanced Fighting Fantasy's 's Xortan Throgg, had learnt of The Skull of Mora Toa from Moonrunner would it have made sense for him or her to do anything to get his or her hands on it due to the fact that as long as you give it a massive yet renewable part of your life force once every century the user doesn't age and he or she could use The Death Spell to instant kill as many enemies as he or she has enough remaining Stamina to cast it and the only side effect would be having to give The Skull of Mora Toa a massive yet renewable part of your life force a lot more often then once very century

If you've got the Skull's powers right, then it would definitely be a desirable thing for a villain to own and I would expect them to construct a villainous plan to acquire it.
One of the plot elements that made Moonrunner so great was that YOU - the hero - had to use evil items like the Skull as a means to an end.

Can I please have advise for A Advanced Fighting Fantasy Campaign inspired by Fire Emblem Game 4 which would be a 2-part Campaign with a cap of roughly 19 to 22 years between the 2 parts and for the 2nd part to work The 1st Generation of Characters must fail to save the world and by part 1's end are either dead or have suffered permanent injuries that force them to retire and the best they can hope to do in part 1 is to have set in motion plans that will give part 2's characters, a lot of them sons, daughters, nieces, nephews and other relations of part 1's characters, a, ideally, very high chance of saving the world?

Yeah but its based on Fire Emblem 4 where all but 1 of The Generation 1 characters are dead or no longer able to fight by the start of Gen 2 and I'll change it so that at 1 extreme the actions of Gen 1's characters will guarantee the eventual victory of The Gen 2 Characters and at the other extreme the actions of Gen 1's characters will guarantee the eventual defeat of The Gen 2 characters

Tone down those extremes. Guaranteed defeat or success renders the players' choices irrelevant (and no, 'it's only guaranteed because of the meaningful choices the doomed Gen 1 characters made' does not make that any better).
And 'it's based on X' is no excuse. If it's going to pan out exactly the same as Fire Emblem 4, why not just let the players play Fire Emblem 4, and use the time you would have spent adapting it to create something original and less railroady?

Why are Vampire Lords classed as being of higher status among The Undead then Vampire Counts despite the fact that because their are 5 Noble Ranks lower then A Count but only 2 Noble Ranks higher then A Count the odds are that whilst alive The now Vampire Count was very likely of A Higher Ranking Noble then more then half of the worlds Vampire Lords?
Also The 5 Noble Ranks lower then A Count are in order of Seniority are Commoners that for any reason were adopted by any Noble, Baronet, Baron, Viscount and Earl and The 2 Noble Ranks higher then A Count are Duke and Grand Duke

I'm planning to soon finish A RPG that a friend wrote that's part 1st edition AFF that used The Bird Isles setting from The Fan Made Tales of The Bird Isles Books and my character was A Elf whose adventure's have lasted have lasted around 3 real-life years and 73 in-game years. I have my character buy 100 acres of very Good Quality Farm Land for 100x1,000 or 100,000 Talons and he arranges to pay 3D6+2x1,000 or 15,000 Talons to have A Massive fortified Manor House build on it
I buy a neighbouring Hunting Estate for 6,000 Talons that nets me 670 Talons per year
I also arrange to pay for a community of Business’s that only does business with travellers to be build and for 5,250 Talons I buy 7 Business’s are each worth 750 Talons that all have 9 employees The 9 employees per business are 5 regular employees, 1 Cook, 1 Security Guard, 1 cleaner and 1 manager type employees, they each net 83 Talons per year and consist of 3 Taverns, 1 that buys, sells and breeds of Riding Beasts, 1 FF Version of A Doctors Clinic, 1 maker of Weapons and 1 maker of Armour
I also buy 54 female and 52 male Farming Slaves for 106x1,500 x2 or 159,000 Talons and 37 decent sized slightly above average good quality Rural Living Units to live in for 51x600 or 30,600 Talons
I also purchase ownership of 2 small Farming and 1 of both small Fishing and small Logging Communities from neighbouring Barons for 1,800+2D3+2x100 or 2,200x4 or 8,800 Talons
All 4 of those communities are entirely populated by Serfs that by law have very few rights and their lord can kill them on a whim and even worse without their lords/my permit they can’t even leave their home for something like their mothers funeral
As well as which as they are Serfs they must give almost all of what they produce, grow and make to their Lord/me. But like with my Slaves I’m far too kind and when possible I’ll only take all that’s left after they’ve stored enough to ensure that none of them will starve
The slaves can be disciplined or even executed by the collars they wear but if possible I’ll avoid that. But despite always being at least reluctant to kill my slaves if I have to I will and won’t hesitate but even when theirs no other choice I’ll still at least try to kill as few as possible
As well as which The Farming Land and The Slaves that produce enough food and grow the materials to make enough Porridge, Bread and Ale and Mead that are both made from Fruits for me to live like A Duke and I trust them enough to keep enough food for themselves without cheating me
The various ways in which this land earns my character a total 11,745 Talons per year allows him/my character, to spend most it on hiring A garrison and I hire the garrison that is listed below and, all in all, it costs a total of 11,700 Talons per year, which leaves a profit of 294 Talons per year

I'm working on A Idea for A Fighting Fantasy RPG Fantasy RPG that's Solo, has no GM and relies entirely on player honesty. Do you think that these changes to certain adventures would be reasonable?
If I do Fangs of Fury straight after Forest of Doom and The Torch is stolen would it be reasonable to use The Reward from Forest of Doom to pay The Ransom without the risks of going through The Dragonstone Caves?
If I do Fangs of Fury straight after Armies of Death would it be reasonable to use my Surviving Soldiers from Armies of Death to keep The Wizards alive for the equivalent of 1 or 2 Breach's of Citadel Walls longer then normal?
If I allow Fighting Fantasy RPG versions of Advanced Fighting Fantasy Spells and don't get all The Keys in Warlock of Firetop Mountain then would it be reasonable to use very powerful Spells to blast open The Treasure Chest?
If I do Legend of The Shadow Warriors straight after Armies of Death would it be reasonable to use my Surviving Soldiers from Armies of Death to allow me a extra mistake by scouring The Area for me and if need be dying to buy me time to save the world
If I allow Fighting Fantasy RPG versions of Advanced Fighting Fantasy Spells and learn The 10 Stamina Cost Spell Switch Alliance that I made that turns A Enemy of The Caster into A Ally then do Master of Chaos and during it save The Captains life rather then just his ship from The Gigantic Sea Monster is it reasonable to use it to make him set my character free and justify it to his crew by saying its a way of encouraging the other slaves to try to save his life if something similiar happen?

A friend of mine has created A RPG that's basically takes The Traveller Roleplaying Game but converted into Fighting Fantasy then puts it in The same universe as The Rings of Kether but 3,647 or so years and The 1st Campaign me and him are doing is A Solo Pirates of Drinax with A Super-Character and due to the fact that I'm famous for my in-human level of luck when rolling 1D6's it'll be very easy for me. So who wants me to post about it?

Last night I had a dream about A Fighting Fantasy Campaign in which theirs 1 Player who plays A Major Villain who is of The Dark Elf Race, he or she is from A Very Minor Noble and has decided to spend at least the next 12 and a half centuries building A Army with which to conquer and rule The Mini Underground Realm in which he lives. Here is his army after 1,357 years. What do you think of him? and his Army?
When it comes to Humans and similiar fully sentient Beings Allied to evil or chaos he has 1,235 individuals that he wouldn't trust with his life and 90 individuals that he wouldn't trust with his life
When it comes to Monsters and/or Semi-Sentient Humanoids he has 1,895 of them that are of 33 different types and/or or races
And
When it comes to those that are controlled via The Spells that are unique to the Campaign their are 827 undead of 9 different types and 385 Monsters and/or Semi-Sentient of 24 different types and/or races

Honestly I never really know what to answer to these. I mean, I can't really say anything about this army, since I have no context. It's a bit like those parts in the Ilias or the bible, where they tell how much warriors and ships and gold ingots and orang-utans someone has, but I'm no contemporary and these numbers mean next to nothing to me. Similarily here - I don't know how much men you'd need to become a local bigwig in Allansia, so, what should I think of this army? So, regarding your question, I'd advise you to instead of giving us contextless questions every couple weeks to flesh out one of the many concepts you are working on, so that we have some common understanding on which I can base an answer. Even then, I'd guess your question would have to be more specific than "What do you think of this army?", because I don't usually think that much about armies

If any Character in any Fighting Fantasy RPG acquired The 3 Jewels needed to win Deathtrap Dungeon in a adventure other then Deathtrap Dungeon then did Deathtrap Dungeon could he or she get to The Final Room and technically win despite the fact that he or she didn't find The 3 Jewels needed to win in The Actual Deathtrap Dungeon

My opinion is no. The diamond, the emerald and the sapphire found within the dungeon are the only ones which would work. I have always thought that the door mechanism - those slots which accept the gems - was built only to accept those specific jewels, their type, size and shape.

It does raise the question of what you're allowed to bring in to the dungeon with you though. The ninja has all his death weapons, the knight, samurai and chaos champion are heavily armoured. It's not clear whether the elf brought her charm with her or it was something she came across in the dungeon.
And of course, Throm has his shades...

I'd say only bare minimum equipment is allowed otherwise it makes no sense to not be fully loaded with everything you can carry. It is also illogical to believe that any contestants will have any knowledge of the Dungeon beforehand so knowing exactly what to bring to the the trial also makes no sense.

No, it wouldn't work. 1235 + 90, or as it's commonly known, 1325, are untrustworthy and so would run off backstabbing at the earliest opportunity. So that's them written off.
1895 have limited intelligence, and you don't mention any sergeants, lieutenants, corporal etc to control them so I'd expect them to wander off and lick windows at the earliest opportunity.
Those controlled by spells, again, no mention of wizards casting spells, so if they didn't immediately decompose or fight each other would wander off looking for butterflies.Paul

I agree. My impression was that only those particular gems will work, due to their physical shape (fitting the receptacles in the door), and probably the frequency of the energy signatures they transmit, or some such thing. And no contestant would know what shape or type of gem was needed, or indeed that gems were the key at all, because the secrets of the Dungeon are closely guarded and the workers are not allowed out, etc.

I just finished The First Part of A Epic Fighting Fantasy RPG that a friend made that starts in The Fan Made Bird Isles Setting, my character is A Elf that spend 977 years their, netted over 11 million Gold Coins, as my friend renamed the currency, and I invested 10,991,600 Gold Coins of it in land and property that nets me 321,490 Gold Coins per year, of which I spend 320,260 per year on the following Private Army to help me if I need them but as I want the fun they will only intervene to safe my characters life and now includes summoned Undead. Given the villain chose to emerge during lock down, I think they are probably not much of a threat. Unless they are on twattir and spreading 5G conspiracy theories in which case they are a menace.
