I think the body-swapping element was implemented really well. Considering how error-strewn some of the other titles around the same time were, I don't think there was a single bug in it, which is impressive given its complexity. I know of one bug. Pretty minor to be fair but it confused me in my first playthrough. That's what comes of trying to keep the whole thing in my head. Thanks for pointing it out. If I ever republish I'll be sure to correct that.

Except Fire Island. I suspect the last ferry had gone, and it was off season. I am mildly unimpressed that no one seemed to find this amusing.

Would Mac Coxhead be the inspiration for the Macommonians, who try to steal your spaceship in Starship Traveller? In fact I just found out today where the Macommonians come from. In White Dwarf 70 (Oct 1985) on page 53 are a series of news articles. One of them talks about the relocation of parts of Games Workshop up to Nottingham. .,, To their great relief, Editor Marshie, Peter Darvill-Evans and Mary Common (Dar-villians and Marcommonians (sic) to Starship Traveller readers) will not have to sell up and move to the Midlands. GW Publications will be staying in London...
At the time, Peter Darvill-Evans is noted in White Dwarf as being Publications Manager. And Mary Common is Art Editor.

At the time, Peter Darvill-Evans is noted in White Dwarf as being Publications Manager. And Mary Common is Art Editor. And Marc Gascoigne was an editor -- though he was in the process of moving up to Nottingham, and Steve Williams was editing Warlock with some twerp as his assistant. I don't remember Mary ever stealing any starships, though... I'm grateful for this message, as it has reminded me that I have to reply to 'Editor Marshie's' recent email. If any of you do Napoleonic wargaming, by the way, I can recommend Ian's Fighting 15s.
